Wix and port 3306 access...

Hi all,

Does anyone know definitively whether Wix allows access to the above port. Different websites have different stories, just thought someone here may know for sure?

You change ports on Webscripts/SQL servers at your own risk... You may find your account being banned if you try to use another port.

If WIX isn't allowing port 3306 access then you really need to find a host who does allow that port.

Any ideas who else? Or do I really need to email a bunch of them directly? It's not the sort of info you find easily on their sites, considering it's probably not a question asked often.

Yes its probably best you ask various website hosts any host worth their salt will always reply with the relevant information.

Unless anyone else knows of hosts with port 3306 access...

While it is possible to change the default port, as Gary pointed out, I wouldn't do it unless I knew for certain that A) The port I chose was supported, and B) It wasn't a port that would get you banned...
