RadioDJ v2.0.1.0 BETA Released!

The latest beta was released for the users who like to test the most recent improvements:

- Fixed bug which triggered next track from playlist when opening the track editor of the playing track (double click on now playing artist or title);
- Fixed text file export bug;
- Optimized the code for faster operations (especially when switching the playing track);
- Minor bugs fixed.

How To Install This Version? (Recommended for testing)

For a clean install, please open Database Setup utility (RadioDJ\Setup\Database Setup.exe), enter your MySQL/MariaDB login details, change the database name to a new one, click the "VALIDATE DETAILS" button. An error should be displayed and on it's end will inform you that the database doesn't exist. No worries! Click Top green button "INSTALL DATABASE". The process should take 1-2 seconds and inform you when it's completed. If nothing happens, press "VALIDATE DETAILS" button again and then click "INSTALL DATABASE"

How To Update From Older V2? (For advanced users only)

You can update to this version from RadioDJ v2.0.0.6 and 2.0.0.9, just open the database setup utility and select the corresponding .sql update file from RadioDJ\Setup\Sql\ folder (2.0.0.6 TO 2.0.1.0.sql or 2.0.0.9 TO 2.0.1.0.sql).

The database changes are necessary because the queuelist table will contain from now on also the following data:
- ETA
- Title
- Album
- Duration

For this the "UpdateTracks" procedure was also changed, but for backward compatibility will be named "UpdateTracks2".

This release should fix the export metadata issue, but also changes the AutoDJ functionality, which in this version will ignore the set number of tracks, in other words will work like in pre 2.0.0.6 releases. This also means that the rotation from query scripts will work again like before.

Thanks Marius for the great work. Installed from 2.0.0.9 and testing.

I have noticed that if I click on the track playing: on "Artist" and "track" it opens the folder, if I click on "Album" it starts playing the next song  together with the one playing at the moment and it stops only at the end. 
In "Rotation Rules" "Keep in playlist" I have set 15, but now it doesn' work. It's like in the old versions, it just doubles the number of songs you have set in the rotation.

Yeeep i found that too,..
but if I click on the track playing: on "Artist" and "track" it opens not the folder but the track edit (which is normal)
if I click on "Album" it open track edit also starts playing the next song  together too.

Fresh install of v2.0.1.0 Beta on Windows 10.

Everything working audio and playout wise BUT - The Play Count is not increasing or changing at all.

Numerous errors in Event Viewer for ALL Songs.   says UpdateTracks2 does not exist?  Event Viewer sample below:

queuelist table is empty in database and radiodj is just playing

Had it up and running for over an hour now its loading tracks into the queue as it should except when tracks from requests land in the queue they're not being marked with their track type colour and also not coming up as "requested" in now playing info.

Once they have played they're not being marked as played either and the rotation tries loading them into the queue again even though repeat rules are on.


Only things I have noticed so far will keep doing more testing

Hi Marius,

With the error I mentioned previously "UpdateTracks2 does not exist" in the event viewer.   Create Playlist from Rotation window pops up and says "No Results"
Otherwise this version seems more robust.

When I woke up after 6 hours playing I also found in the report a song being played three times back to back and the same song was ready to play just after one hour other three times (an event has wiped them out). Very strange, I've never seen something like that!

Now I'm noticing it populate this error in Windows error logs when a rotation loads tracks into the queue

ROTATION FROM QUERY WARNING: There were no available reqests when the playlist was generated!

(No I haven't misspelt requests that's how the error looks)

I've taken the request line out of my rotation for now because of this and the earlier issues I was having with requests.

The new version plays the same song three times in a row, then the next song three times in a row, the third song three times in a row then goes back and plays the first song three times in a row again. I've gone back to v2.0.0.9 until it's corrected.

Having said that, thank for making the automated button green again...can you make the assisted button red again? I also noticed that I think v2.0.1.0 has corrected the metadata problem because my Rocket Broadcaster showed the correct song when it played.

Users who got playing the same tracks, can confirm that they have the "UpdateTracks2" procedure in the database?

@zandgame17 & plauri: yes that bug is present in beta releases and for artist and title should be fixed, but i omitted the album label. I fixed it also for the next beta.
