I never really trusted OR LIKED the Russians in the first place having grown up under the Cold war in the 1980s.

The news that keeps coming out of Ukraine is constantly heartbreaking.

I just read your first-hand description of fleeing Ukraine, RFU.  Very sad that you have to go thru all this.   No one should have to!

One man is responsible for the needless deaths, destruction and displacements. Putin has forever soiled Russia and its people.  The quicker the people of that great country wake-up and realize what he is doing to them, the faster they should purge the kremlin of this awful tyranny.

Sadly, there's no such thing as a trustworthy MSM source these days. It's mainly someone's opinion cleverly dressed up to look like "news". One needs to follow streams that give the other side to the story, no matter how unpleasant it may seem to our political ideologies, as well as MSM to get the full picture of what's going on. I've found the truth usually lies somewhere inbetween.

It's not just this situation either, it's COVID and many other events past too. How often did you see MSM report neutrally/enthusiastically about the other side of the COVID debate? It didn't happen, just one side. Same with Russia/Ukraine. If you only get one side of any situation, you're not getting the full story and chances are you've been subtly propaganised. Fair and balanced MSM would give both sides to a story, without bias either way, letting the viewer/listener make up their own minds. It's very dangerous territory when only one side gets to put forward their side.

Oh how I wish MSM would return to the good 'ol days when they reported the facts without political bias and/or the reporters/networks opinion mixed up in it. But I guess that just doesn't sell ads, doesn't titillate to illicit a reaction, or suit the shareholders bottom line anymore.
