In addition to the situation I reported with the audio processor, today I came across another situation

Whenever the monitor winterizes and is in dark mode deactivated, the radio dj skips, meaning the audio that is playing is cut and jumps to the next audio
The same happens when the monitor is activated after sleep, the audio that is playing jumps back to the next one

I was analyzing the situation and everything leads me to believe that Windows did an update and changed the stability of the radio DJ

I think you should analyze this situation with all these Windows 10 updates and they cause these instabilities.

I have noticed an issue with audio processing its not volume levelling properly some songs are playing louder than others I have the same audio settings I've always used.

Adrinto Wouldn't it be easier to disable screen saver and just switch the monitor on/off when you've finished?

I haven't used screen saver for years because it played havoc back in Windoze XP days with audio

This is the solution that I have adopted so far but it is not very viable, however it is what can be done.

but going back in time is not my edeoligy

I think that the audio processor is not like version 2.0.4.3 because in that version what happened in 2.04.4 and now in 2.0.45 did not happen.

I think Márius will find a solution

Just noticed my uptime in windows task manager 12 days without a hiccup on Windows 11

I think this is an award winning release

I've now completely removed the sound processor and the audio 🔊 from RadioDJ is actually sounding Proper thanks to that recent bass engine update

Yes it interrupted my 12 day uptime but heck it just sounds so freaking amazing

The music is crossfading like a dream its so slick and fast

Tell me how you did this, how you proceeded to eliminate the processor and what values ��were used in mixing the songs, crossfade values

Remove the sound processing .dll from the plugins folder and restart RadioDJ

Thats why the plugin structure is so good if something is playing up you can remove it esily.

I looked at my laptop uptime

18 days on Windows 11 without a hiccup I think that says to me 2045 is very stable

1) One issue that has been present in most of the recent releases is the duration of an internet stream. If I want to restream a live show for say 1 hour, I build a playlist, add the stream, then inside Playlist Builder use the temporary edit feature to set the stream duration to 1 hour. The playlist then shows the stream at 60 minutes in duration. However ...

... when that stream comes to be played, the duration is ignored. The stream plays but will play and play and play with no end in sight. It would be great if this feature worked as at times I need to use it to micromanage, to the second, the duration of a stream. That said, I have found a work around.

I created a 1 second silent track set as Variable duration and place this directly before the stream in the playlist. When the stream (set at 1 hour duration) plays straight after it the stream will now run for 1 hour or whatever time duration has been set.

Would be great if this could be fixed but for now, running the 1 sec silent file before the stream does the trick.

2) If I use the recorder inside Playlist Builder to record a voice track it plays back at half the length of the original recording with gaps on playback eg a 30 second recording plays back for 15 seconds. To get around this I use the old bass.dll file (126kb) instead of the new one (136kb).

Out of curiosity are you leaving the file as a Variable Duration File or do you change it to a different track type? My understanding of VDF file is RadioDJ will read the file once it is in the playlist so the change you make may not be registered correctly by RadioDJ as it will read entire file and ignore your cue points. Just a thought

Thanks for that. I have tried it as both a VDF file and as a music file and it works with both. With the music file I set the START cue point at 0 and the END cue point at 1 second (the actual full length of the file).

The situation with the Sound Processing plugin is an interesting one

Cant get it to work properly on Windows 11 BUT on my Windows 10 machine its working absolutely fine.

There was an update for .NET again yesterday so I'm going to try again with my laptop and sound processing

That is interesting @DJGarybaldy as I'm only on Win10 and have had No Issues with sound at all.

I've just looked at the Properties of the Sound Processing DLL and XML files on Windows 11

No wonder it wasn't working Windows Security had BLOCKED the files (Despite the folder being in the exclude lists) now I've taken ownership of the folder the audio processing seems to be back...

Sorry to be a pain Marius I should've realised Windoze was blocking files.
