Can you fix the double song info buffer.   I am using the sam simplecast winamp plugin that work fine.

The problem is " I always see the previous song played in the data stream the RDJ changes songs.

instead of a FIFO Buffer do a write thru buffer cache.

That is down to the SAM Winamp plugin itself, It is nothing to do with the DSP plugin for RDJ. Spacial stopped supporting the Winamp plugin years ago.

I'd suggest you use the some encoder plugin for RDJ if you want properly updated song titles.

Once the file is selected and you click the red check button on the bottom right, it saves the configuration in it's xml file. Check the file security and make sure it has write permissions.

J-

checked the xml file for the write permissions and give it full control (also checked from inside of the xml file it was ok). the plugin disappeared again after 3-4 day later. added dsp plugin yesterday but nothing  again this morning when i was start the RDJ. i tried different pcs and different OS (win7 & win xp). but result same.

i think i made a mistake if noone see this situation. whats wrong did i make ??

thanks in advance

Is  there a work around. altcast uses lame for mp3.   Lame is not suitable for what we are doing.  not clean enough and quality is low medium.  We are working on a AACplus codec for FMOD so we can use AAC.  But for now we have to use MP3 and SAM is using MP3 mode in MP3Pro which is a whole lot better than lame.

I found mp3Pro isn't the worlds greatest codec I used to use it years ago when i first started out.. You may find you get better sound quality with AAC+ or even using icecast and Ogg vorbis.

The mp3Pro encoding only ever shipped with spacial products, you even needed a plugin for winamp to notice any change in the sound quality. Not to be recommended if u r serious about radio TBH

It also depends on the quality of the original music files as well. Remember you only get decent sound out if the files are recorded properly.

Fraunhofer has the best codecs.   Their MP3 codec to no long available for 2k8 and above.  Before responding please read the post and not just respond.   MP3Pro has two part to it One is MP3Pro the 2nd is MP3,  I am using the MP3 portion.  I am building a AACplus codec for FMODEx by Firelight Technologies.  If you contribute to the development of this please response.   Ogg is not all of that either.

Just so you know I developed (True)True Surround Sound (281 dimensions of sound)  and High Quality Definition Digital Audio (HQDDA) which is published with the I.E.E.E.  All of our files are of the up most quality.

Did you install the Plugin as described in this post? http://djgarybaldy.co.uk/dsp-stacker-plugin-radiodj/

Also it can depend on which DSP plugins you are trying to use. Not all DSP plugins will work with this i.e the newer shoutcast ones don't work with it.

I've tested and it does work with the latest version you may also want to upgrade to that http://www.radiodj.ro/community/index.php?topic=4665.0

Thank you for your reply.

Yes I followed the link you propsez me.

I do not understand what you mean by "it may depend on the DSP plugin", I need to install something other than what's in this issue (Winamp DSP host 2.0)?

I updated to the latest version (1.6.5.7) but I still have the same problem ...

Which DSP plugin are you trying to get working? Can you upload it somewhere for me to test?

I try to install the plugin is in this topic (in the first message) Plugin_DSP.zip But maybe I'm missing something? a step?

I did what you recommended me (in private), unfortunately it still does not work. could you please clarify this:
Copy Any DSP plugins you want to use into the Plugins folder of RDJ
It is indeed downloadable plugnin in this topic?

I did the test with exactly the files you gave me, I placed the folder c: (not programs or program files), modified data to the database and start RadioDJ. When I go to plugin, DSP - Use Winamp DSP plugins in RadioDj2.0 in the window I still find nothing, no plugin available? (the window is empty as your capture in your message at the beginning of this topic)

DJ Garybaldy

I'm only going on a hunch here but I'm sort of guessing that the DSP plugins you are trying to use with the DSP stacker plugin aren't being recognized therefore you won't be able to use them.

Not all DSP plugins work with it.

I'm totally out of ideas as to where you have gone wrong as it works here I'm running the version of RDJ that I asked you to DL with the working DSP plugin in it.  :bash:
