It's 50 years ago today since the Pirate station Radio Caroline started broadcasting from the ship moored out at sea. It changed the face of radio in the UK and paved the way for commercial radio....

I think it was the likes of the DJ's from stations like Caroline that got me into wanting to do Internet Radio.

Yep, Happy Birthday Caroline!
It changed making radio, I was about 12 years old and my parents listened to them, so I grew up with it and later radio veronica for the Dutch.

Caroline least gave the starting signal for the radio today in Europe.

ps. I think the movie Good Morning, Vietnam is very good, it shows what the youth wants at that time (not the war)
