Right I get that setup. I was using that setup as well. But I would think that with a NAS setup it has to have some lag. It just is not instant. I used the bitsync too. It is lovely.

I don't experienced sql on the pc-studio because the install gave me itches!

For files stored on the nas, no real latency audible, but Marius code RadioDJ in order to pre-load 10sec the next track..
We use a synology DS209 with a 100Mbit connection and a 2To hd 5900rpm.

Rogiermaas, what is your sql server?
