HOW TO UPDATE FROM THE LATEST VERSION?
METHOD 1
1. Replace all your plugins (.dll files) with the new ones
2. Replace RadioDJ.exe with the new one
3. Replace PluginInterface.dll with the new one
METHOD 2
1. Unzip the new version somewhere on your HDD
2. Delete from the new package the settings files (they are named like settings_XXXXX.xml).
3. Copy all files from the new package over your old files in order to overwrite them.
ALTERNATE METHOD 3
1. Replace all the files with the new ones
2. Customize the settings for the program/plugins

A few words about the new plugin "TEASER" (located in disabled plugins folder):
- You can set a subcategory for Intro's;
- You can set a subcategory for Transitions;
- You can set a subcategory for Endings;
- You can set to play the tracks randomly;
- You can set a limit of tracks.
How It Works?
Whenever the plugin action is called (via event or keyboard shortcut) it checks the current playlist for tracks that have the HOOKS cue points set and ads them to a temporary playlist which starts with a random intro element from the user set subcategory. Between the tracks are inserted random transitions. At the end of the temporary playlist is added a random ending and the temporary playlist is inserted to the top of the main playlist.
RadioDJ will play only the Hook IN/OUT portion of the generated playlist. If there are no tracks with the HOOK set in the playlist, nothing will happen.

A very promising new feature..!
I have been watching this software progress for anwhioe now. I have to ask a question. I really want to transition my station over to this software but I am really hesitant to give up my multiple outputs on the main players. Is there ever a chance of multiple outputs for the main player to be added?

Oh yes, that would be nice! Or does anyone know a workaround when using the main output to input Breakaway (the processing software) for a stream signal and a 'clean' output at the same time. In short: a main output to two different soundcards at the same time? That would be great :P

Don't know if this is a bug or just a new way of doing things but in the track manager when right clicking a track that is not already selected the context menu will display options for the selected (highlighted) track instead of the one clicked.

My feedback on the new 'teaser' plugin:
I like the way this plugin can insert the hook into the playlist, it works like a gem, and plays it really nicely with a fade at the end. I have read your instructions about the plugin carefully, so forgive me, but I am a little puzzeled about the 'Intro' 'seperators' and 'endings' subcategories. Here is my scenario...
I am working in a live hour and want to preview upcoming songs, so I hit the keyboard short cut to activate the plugin, and it loads the hook(s) that I need to play, but it also adds a few other songs from the categories stated in the settings. However, I am already working in the hour, so I don't really want the other songs in the playlist I just need the hooks. Is there a way of just loading the hook files alone without the other 'Intro' 'separators' or 'Endings' loading in between? Sorry If I have misunderstood, but these seem to just appear and play as normal tracks is this right? The songs I have set as hooks work brilliantly though. Hope I am making sense, It's hard to explain. But on the whole, great work and I can see this feature going down well :)
Oh and one more suggestion, perhaps it would also be good to have a different colour on the playlist for the hook so I know which one is the hook and which is the actual song. I know I could look at the duration, but I can see that during a live show when I am concentrating on other things, it is alot easier and quicker to see a different colour and know that it is a hook rather than an actual song. :hihi: Just an idea. :)

That's a good point. I never thought that maybe there is a current work around. Like having the playlist be in list mode and each track load into aux players? I never thought about if that could be done.
Anyone have a comment on that.

I did it last night. I also added a new track type for them, because to tell you the truth i was also a bit confused watching the playlist.

So far so good been testing over 3 hours solid now. It hasn't coughed complained or spluttered once. The sound is sound spot on not getting the scratchy audio now. Haven't had chance to test the "Teaser" plugin as of yet.
Wait to see what others report back but it pretty much looks like a release candidate to me. :ok:

Marius, a little bug here. When I want to delete a song in slot mode playlist (let's say song in slot 3 for example) and the next song in the playlist starts playing, RDJ will delete the song that advances to slot 3 instead of deleting song that is now in slot 2. I believe the delete button should focus on the song instead of the slot number.

That's not a bug RDJ has always done this if you try and delete a track while it's changing tracks. I thinks it's because of the way the Queuelist table works. I find it's best to wait until the new song starts playing then delete the song you want to get rid of from the PL.

I do agree that it would also be good to have a different color on the playlist for the hook so I know which one is the hook and not the song!
I mean I'm a pro but the other people might have trouble!! :hihi:

I would like to ask if you can add in Tracks Manager, under "operations" a button that resets (played count) the tracks that the user has selected. otherwise every time you have to always reset all the tracks.
I found on youtube that RDJ is number one, of radio automation software.

maybe it's handmade to teaser like event. A "teaserevent" you can specify which category you want to he seeks. For example, these are the new hits of this hour ..... during the opening hours you might want to hear all the music.
it is possible to pass a playlist list to the auxplayer so you can make it runs nicely whit more nummers. Like the main player..
it is possible to link the area's solved, so we can push the software where why want, sort like a popup but than in radioDJ?
I work with dalet en that is easier of dalet.
When i go to:
options, plugin, song search. and click the the option "original artist" than the field that shows the info is realy wide and i can't resize it.
am i the only one with this or have i find a big??

Our entire production team is now going through our entire database setting the Hook In and Hook Out points hahaha!
Another bug though: The Stop-button takes an awful long time to actually stop the music. It takes from 5 to 15 seconds to fade out the music.
Otherwise, this is another awesome release! It only gets better and better.

Cartplayer does not allow another soundcart, the orther options for soundcart going smooth.
but the cartplayer does not chance to the soundcart a choose.
got 3 soundcarts to choos Uca 202 silver, And Uca 202 2 Red, and onboard soundcart for monitor
mainplayer = soundcart uca 202
monitor Cue = soundcart intern hogh definition
Sweepers = Sound aca 202
voice track = Soundcart uca 202
carts = soundcart uca 2 202 and is not allow so its automatic to soundcart uca 202 what i dont chooce
player 1,2,3 = soundcart uca2 202 and playing oké
someone that know the solution? And there are no conflict, in the version 1.5.9.7 beta was playing smootly now in RC3 not?

I will have a play with the Teaser stuff sometime.
However, the bug with the events not working after midnight still exists :( Drats!
It failed last night (and I was away from home) and due to an internet problem, I wasn't able to give it a click-fix. I had to drive 127Km to get it working again, then drive 127Km back again. I wasn't game to ring anyone at 12:15 am - I'm not that crazy - yet!
Anyway, the bug still lives :(
I just wanted to let you know.

I'm really sorry Chris! After you've posted this, i tried again to re-create the problem and somehow i succeed.
