When you say new database do you mean a complete fresh one or is it OK to use a database back up from before 2.0.1.0?
A complete fresh database. I know it's time consuming to create one and import some tracks, but the database schema was changed between these beta versions and only in this way we can test it properly.
Once all will work fine, it should be easy to make a update script for the existing databases.

about tts error.Template file doesn't exists! Make sure that you have the Plugins\Plugin_TTS\NowPlaying.xml file if you want to use the TTS functionality!

I don't think I have the time to try with a fresh database, I'll let everyone else beta test instead in that case, I'm going to go back to my database on v2.0.0.6 until we can just update our current database to newer versions when all the bugs are ironed out etc...

I see that your locales are using the comma (","), as the decimal separator, that's where the error comes out. Trying a trick and get back.
Please download again the latest beta, run the installer over your old (2.0.1.2) beta and test it now. The only changed file is RadioDJ.exe, no database changes this time.

Updated (again) the download page. The file is "RadioDJ v2.0.1.2 BETA 3 NEW" and filename is "SetupRadioDJ2012fbeta3.exe". Same thing, if already running 2.0.1.2, no database changes are necessary.

Marius, please also have in mind for the next update that checking Auto on genre when using folder import, does not read the genre from the mp3 ID tag since version 2.0 came out. It imports the default genre that is selected. Thanks!

I'm sat here scratching my head right now I installed the latest 2012 beta (because I was curious) gave it its own program folder and database.
I've had it fired up once to try and sort all the main settings out. However I had to restart the computer & when I came back to fire the beta up again it just hung without starting, I had to use Task Manager to get to quit it just won't fire up
Its totally bamboozled me as to why it won't fire up properly there is nothing to say why its hanging in the error logs.

Try to click CTRL+TAB, maybe it's an error message behind the splash screen (which is displayed on top). For sure something got screwed up, but for now i have no idea what.
There is no error message behind it... I'm going to delete the folder and try again something screwed up somewhere I hadn't even got chance to import any track.
Edit: dropped the database and reinstalled the database now its fired up again.... all a bit queer if you ask me.
This totally weird now after reinstalling the database and sorting the main program settings from options its now hanging again when I try to restart it.
Its not liking a setting somewhere yet they're the same settings I always use.

Update after about 4 hours re-testing rotations, jingles, aux, events and manual events.

No critical errors showing in Event Viewer for this version so far. [Good Sign]
Note: I do not use sql queries nor Request as that's a Jhonny and DJ Garyboldy expert level ;)

Went to do some maintenance on my main RadioDJ database and ended up overwriting my beta database just after freshly importing songs into the beta....
Guess who's going to have to start over again tomorrow.... Yup that's right ME! I could cry I got RadioDJ beta to a useable state too.. :'(

@Music Box: Pressing enter could confirm that behind the splash screen is a message box and when you hit enter you close it. And no, it's not normal.
Other than this, i saw that when loading the program, the search results are refreshing a few times and after some debugging i fixed it. This also helps speed up the starting process. the cue editor does not work, it is impossible to insert start, intro, loop in ecc.ecc.su tracks imported automatically. If amount manually radiodj writes: track import error: the selected track could not be read!
the monitor does not hear it (on the general panel it works perfectly) when save it writes error setting.

A problem if autodj is triggered does not create music in rotation it hangs

I did a fresh v2.0.1.2 install with a fresh database. I loaded about 2k tracks with few jingles and build 2 rotations. It works steady, of course it's not like my "on air". I miss teaser, sweepers and other stuff. Testing...
It doesn't work "Keep in playlist": it doesn't change the number of tracks loaded if I change the number.

I've reinstalled the 2012 beta this morning gone through setting by setting and restarted between changing settings to see what may have been causing my issue(s) and wouldn't you know it... Its working just fine this time round.
I replaced the search plugin so I'm beginning to wonder if that was the root of the issue... anyway. I better do a backup now I have songs imported and a rotation built.
These things are sent to try us. If I notice anything untoward I'll report back.
Today I again downloaded radiodj 2.0.2.3 created new database
Installed and replaced the search plugin
Fixed the problem of whose point, now it works well

Progress update... Since I fired RadioDJ up and clicked play at around 9am this morning it hasn't spluttered or complained once. There are NO errors in the error logs...
It seems stable here too.

It's running smootly, but testing I played with "NowPlaying Info" and clicking on "Update Title" the program shuts down. I get this message in the "Logs" "ExceptionLogs":

Another question about Teaser:
There is no way to set a teaser in the Teaser Plugin and no way to load a teaser from the Track Import or Directory Import. Did you forget it?
EDIT: I have found you can set a Teaser under Track, but still no way to set a teaser in the Teaser Plugin.
SayTime:
I could not reproduce what I have on v1.8.2 and even in v2.0.0.9: a 4 seconds bed starts and after 1 second I have the saytime voice over the bed. I tried the 3 options, they all work but none of them can do that. Maybe there is another way of doing this.
Just fired the 2012 beta up this morning to find it had lost most of my plugin settings and that they moved them back into their original zone yet I'd moved them into another zone
Only thing I've noticed that may cause people issues.

Effect from 2 seconds, actionISay plugin TimeISay time, 3 seconds effect :)

@DJ Garybaldy: the code for settings loading/saving is the same for many years, nothing changed. Perhaps the program was still using them when the computer closed and they got corrupted?
I closed the software before I switched off the machine as I normally do. There was no sudden shut down of anything.

The point is I don't have Intro, Next and End. As you can see in the picture. How can I set the teaser? The second picture is from v2.0.0.1 and it has teaser set correctly.

@Music Box, in that way should work but when the Saytime starts there is no effect. It's not what I want.
EDIT: I tried what you said. I cut my bed in two and the result is quite good, not perfect as before but working a bit on it I can get it better. Thanks. (but I still don't know why it doesn't work as before, since Marius didn't change the SayTime, only added 3 options)
I fired up V2.0.1.2 last night and loaded in the basic format elements into the program as a new database. It's been running for 24 hours now and I've noticed three things:
1) When the time announce runs, either by itself or over music intros, the minute runs, then a slight pause before the seconds announce. The delay runs anywhere from a second to 6 seconds.
2) When I run an event, the audio pauses anywhere from a second to six seconds before the next item starts.
3) When I schedule a TTS over a song intro, the song starts and then there's a pause before the TTS announcement starts, same length pause.
Basically what I've noticed is that the basic elements run fine, but if I run two items at once, the secondary item (TTS, events involving several items (like a subroutine), and time announce) is delayed.
Any suggestions?
Also, a couple of suggestions for future editions: when clicking on automation to go to assisted, can the color of the button change from green to red? and is there a way to select whether TTS starts up as enabled or disabled?

- I suppose you are talking about the TTS plugin, since the SayTime plugin doesn't announce seconds.
- 2: can you tell me how to replicate your event?
- 3: TTS is a windows feature and currently it can't work in real time thru RadioDJ, because first it generates an audio file and then RadioDJ will play that file. All this takes some time.
- The colors are controlled by your color scheme. The only change was that some users requested to change the state of the button (now is inverted).

Going deeper into 2.0.1.2. Beta 3
I haven't used the manual events Start/End feature in "Other"Events tab option of a Track Edit until this version and Thumbs up on this feature Marius it's very solid. Testing for Christmas by taking a Holiday Jingle and having a Feature play First Followed by the Holiday Jingle and then a Holiday Song all from setting up one audio Jingle file and it's tight, fast and flawless!

Try to make a teaser with the new v2.0.1.2 you can't. There is not what's showed in the new page Marius created. I don't have Teaser Intro etc.

In Search column when editing a track, with Real time refresh option [ticked] in the plugin and saving a new cover with Id3 Save and then Save still says NoCover.jpg until moving around in the search window. Not serious but not real time. ;)
[Edit] Same result in Track Managers until manual refreshed to see the image changed.

2) What I have done is set up my stop set as an event so I don't have to enter it every time it runs...
EVENT:
60 second PSA
30 second PSA x2
Time announce (pause)
Weather Intro
Weather Bed
Weathercast (plays over weather bed)
I enter this as a playlist event in the sequence. This event runs twice an hour and the audio pauses before the event runs. I have gone back and deleted the event and added each item separately and there's no pause.

I also have the time announce voiceover set up as an event that plays over a song intro. I have "fixed" the problem of the pause before the time announce starts by putting the next event start one second before the end of the jingle that runs before the event, but when the event starts the time announce, the song will pause before starting under the time announce.

And when I use the Event function to schedule TTS Enable and Disable, there's a pause there, too. Audio example 3 attached
In otherwords, any time I schedule an Event, the audio feed pauses before the Event runs.
3) As for the TTS, I'll learn to live with it.

Marius, I'm using teasers since the beginning, 4 years ago, and I sincerely don't remember how I set up, maybe following some videos. And I always have made update from previous versions, so teasers have been there and I've never modified them and they work perfectly.
Now I understand that I can edit categories (and I already did it), but in a fresh install the intro/transitions/endings subcategories do not exist, that's why I thought they already should be there. The Teaser explanation page now is much clear, thanks.
