Could someone please explain how to use Tag Synchronization?
I have been using MP3Tag to cleanup a lot of tags. Missing tags, "Unknown Artist", wrong fields, etc. Once I corrected all the ones I wanted I did a Tag sync. It counted through all the songs and did not display any errors, however when I went back to RadioDJ the tracks did not have the tags changed. If I edit each track manually I can "read ID3 Tags" and then save them track by track. Is there a step I'm missing?

Yup.
Here's what I have done so far.
Load a subfolder in MP3Tag. Then I correct Artists and Titles tags and save. Then try sync tags with "From TAGS to Database", using settings shown (see screen shot attached). The progress bar goes across and count goes up to the total then stops with no errors. Then I check in Track Manager and tags are not changed. I can go into each file and manually read ID3 and then save, but that would be quite a slow process. As this is on a network, close all copies of RadioDJ, then reload, still no change.

Also slightly off topic, can I use a program such as MP3Gain to normalize the level of all songs without having to re-import?

Exactly the same problem here (I started another thread before finding this one). Did this ever get resolved?

For all of those who are dealing with this - I ran into this same issue myself, however...
The tag synchronization tool has many of the target fields checked by default (all except CUE Data and Track Image, I believe). After I ran a "From TAGS to Database" sync with essentially no results/no change, I tried just having a few target fields checked at a time - in my case I had just Artist, Title, and Album checked. Ran "From TAGS to Database" again, and this time the few hundred tracks that I updated the tags for now show those changes synced into the database.
My guess is that if too many fields are checked (or perhaps a particular field isn't being processed correctly) is what may be causing the whole sync to fail.
I also observed no updates or changes in my Windows Event logs before or after I ended up on this solution, so my theory isn't exactly concrete.
