Title: Computer size and performance.
Post by: JetConnection on September 17, 2020, 09:14:05 PM
I just purchased a new PC. - Processor Ryzen 7 (3700X 8 core 3.6 Ghz) - VIDEO AMD Radeon RX5600XT (6Gb) - RAM 16 Gb DDR4 - HD seagate Fire Cuda 520 SSD (500 Gb) and Seagate SSHD hybrid ST2000DX001 (2 tera). Do you think i should run RadioDJ, OBS studio, and Blackmagic design ATEM (mini pro) software altogether on this machine? (or in your opinion should i setup 2 PC ?)

With those specifications you could easily run more than one of those pieces of software, RadioDJ is light on resources

I have a machine with 16GB and everything works as expected.

I am soooooo 2011!!!

I run RadioDJ 2.0.1.5 on Windows 10 64 bit with MB Recaster 5.0.0.8 (3 streams) and Thimeo Stereo Tool 9.50 on an OLD Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 (2.6Ghz) with 8Gb of DDR2 800MHz - the hard drive is a WD SSD 1TB WDS100T2B0A SATA II (I do have a separate NVidia GeForce graphics cards to offload from the motherboard/embedded video)

CPU usually sits around 30% utilization, memory around 37%

Pretty stable .... not a NEW machine by ANY stretch of the imagination but works flawlessly.

I do not use the motherboards' audio card -- my Arrakis console has a USB connection for audio from RadioDJ, I have my external 'stack' of mic processors and such going through the Arrakis, then back out of the last of the processing chain into a PreSonus Studio24c that serves as the 'in' capture card for the MB Recaster
