Title: Sound Empire Not parsing station info
Post by: DJ Garybaldy on October 10, 2020, 01:07:30 PM
I had a major Windows update yesterday (or was it the day before)  :bash:

Now SE Caster encoder won't parse station info to the Icecast server yet MB Recaster is populating station info. I've even tried SECaster 1.1.6 to see if that worked but that was exactly the same

Its all rather strange as to why its suddenly stopped populating station info. Is this happening to anyone else?

Or is it my PC being a sh*tbag?

UPDATE: deleting and recreating the .ini file appears to have done the trick.

I know someone had the same problem a couple months ago and he posted the solution

I can't say I saw that original post but all is good now

I've switched back to SECaster 1.1.6 and its streaming as it should.

I've been using 1.1.69 24/7 for about 3 years now. Never a problem with it

I thought I'd lost my copy of 1.1.6 but I found it lurking in a backup folder.  :bash:

OK so I only stream every now and then for my own personal pleasure BUT Sound Empire is by far and away my favourite encoder, Its the only one I've used over the past couple of years. I've never seen SEC Buffer.

Other encoding software (paid for) did buffer in my tests.

I wish it streamed in OPUS
