Love the new version but please beware that the following no longer work:

The Record Plugin

None of the Encoder Plugins

The NRG Web Export Plugin

The Web Browser Plugin crashed- but was okay when moved to Zone 2

The VST Plugin

The DSP Plugin

The creators of those plugins will need to update their plugins if they wish us to be able to use them with RDJv2

I believe Marius said in the new version announcement that NONE of the plugins will work with the new version. They all need to be updated
Гордий бути українцем, Ми - Радіо Вільної України.

Hmmm...I can sense a paid version coming and all these plugins will work again  :D :D :D :D :D

RadioFreeUSA

Installed v2.  Looks good, but I had to go back to 1.8. SoundSolution 1.31 has to work for me to be happy and v2 won't do that currently.

I see some posts about a 'paid' version of RadioDj that is in the works.  Is there any info on what plugin's will work with that?  I would pay for this software as i absolutely love what it does for me, but I need SoundSolution to work and I would really like it if I could get PaceMaker to work too. Currently PaceMaker (old winamp pitch plugin) crashes RadioDJ.

Thanks and have a great one!

really version 2 has many good things, but this detail of the plugins generates problems for us to migrate, we use the DSP plugins for audio processing, Recording for recordings that allow us to keep track of the issues and is programmable by events and A******t that allows us to broadcast directly to the internet, for which I think it will be a longer time before we can migrate  :'( :'(

I'm very sad to say this, but dropping the ability for third-party developers to write software for RadioDJ is a real issue for me. I'm loading a trial of PlayoutONE onto one spare system right now and will be spooling up Rivendell on another tomorrow. I've got a VERY bad feeling about where things are heading.

I'm really hoping Marius will reconsider obfuscating the plugin interface.

i am very disappointed in the new update. Is it so hard to make and setup a new update version? We are now working with
another software. The most simple and best software i have ever seen before. They have everything you need and the updates are often en simple to update.

CheshuntRadio

We have been using Radioboss on our live system for some time and that works great with the new updated teasers feature, one of the selling points for RadioDJ.

The new Version looks great. I like it but it looks like my minds been made up for me.

I'm sat here shaking my head... How ungrateful...

Go away and use other software if you feel you have to but you'll realise soon enough that the software you are going to isnt a patch on RDJ

I trialed Nextkast recently. It wouldn't import any mp3 files.... Cant see you having a stable stream with it either.

No one forced you to upgrade from 1.8.2

Uh, Gary, those of us who are complaining about losing functionality are actually all broadcasters. You're just a guy using the software to run a jukebox in his apartment, so you're no longer affected by the issues that people who broadcast 24/7 are. Losing plugin functionality is a big deal to those who put a lot of effort into supporting RadioDJ by writing plugins and also those who got a lot of use out of them every day running a radio station.

In fairness to Marius, he can't build an encoder into the free version of the software given that there are DCMA concerns. That feature will have to be reserved for a pay version. It would just really help to know what it is going to cost, what features it will have, and when it will be expected. I would certainly have no issue with paying for some software if the price and features are right. Marius deserves to make a living from his efforts.

I take offense to this post in that it's essentially spam for another software. It's low to go on a forum for software and promote the competition, complete with URL. Frans70 may be affiliated with said software company?

Frans70

First of all PROducer i am not affiliated with the software at all. But i am free to say what i think and what i do. For the good i have removed the name of the software because i don't wanne spam at all. And also because i have respect for Marius and his work.

Gary you can not tell every body to go away and use other software so easy. First of all it's not your software and on your website you are burning down every software that is made her on this planet. Now that is shaking my head of  :(. It's for all of us a hobby an the thing is that everybody may have have fun with it. So no harm.

Happy Christmas and happy broadcasing to you all. Cheers

I agree, you are free to say what you thing & do.  I just thought posting the link on here was disrespectful to Marius and including it in your post made it appear you had other intentions by doing so.  I thank you for clearing this up, and fixing your post.

I'm currently playing with two different software packages today. Honestly, other than certain features they have that RDJ doesn't, if the paid version RJD comes out with the same features at the same price then RDJ will remain my first choice. You can tell that a lot of care went into the code. So tight and stable.
