I would certainly have no issue with paying for some software if the price and features are right. Marius deserves to make a living from his efforts.

Uh, Gary, those of us who are complaining about losing functionality are actually all broadcasters. You're just a guy using the software to run a jukebox in his apartment, so you're no longer affected by the issues that people who broadcast 24/7 are. Losing plugin functionality is a big deal to those who put a lot of effort into supporting RadioDJ by writing plugins and also those who got a lot of use out of them every day running a radio station.

How very dare you?

Ive used RadioDJ for 7 years now I think i know how it works somehow..

Just because I'm not doing live shows anymore doesn't means my views are any less valid..

The reason I don't do live internetradio now is because of posts like this having a go directly at me.

Because of the abuse my anxiety now rules my life im scared to switch the PC on somedays....

Please don't bite the hand that feeds you!

It's a valid criticism. You're also an adult, so try acting like one. If you can't handle a contrary opinion then maybe you should ask someone else to take over your moderator role here and retreat to your 'safe space'.

Do you need to run an encoder? No. Do you need to record live shows? No. So why is your opinion of how I should use these things supposed to matter to me when you don't do these things?

It doesn't.

I have been an ardent supporter of RadioDJ these past two years. I know this from the traffic that the support site I built for our school/community project gets. I know this every time a terrestrial radio station emails me to say they love the RadioDJ controller I shared the instructions for, and how they've put them in all of their studios. So I've given back, too.

I'm even willing to support the project financially if the value proposition makes sense. Of course, for that, Marius would actually have to share information with others about future plans for a change.

Please guys, let's stop here. Like i wrote on v2 topic, it's a release that must be tested first, it's not necessary ready for production use.
Undoubtedly it will come more improvements, but we must start from somewhere.
Bashing users which are trying to help around, or our work (how i saw today a topic) won't help anyone.
