Folder sync resets all genre settings!

AAAAARG! The new folder syc tool resets all genre settings of all existing titles in the subcategory to the genre given to the import setting per category...! That makes the v2 unusable for me on my playout PC. Fortunately I implemented the update to a tryout system :-) Furthermore the new v2 runs smootly...!

spons, if subcategory A is equal to folder A, what you've expected?
When you set a sync you must set the genre and track type, so it's logic that whatever files will import will have those settings.

Thanks for replying Marius, by the way you did a great job, what I meant was that the already imported files get the same genre as the new to be imported files. I was expecting the same result like the plugin from Andy for version 1.82 gives ... Just importing new files and leaving the existing files as they were...

Or, did I do someting wrong ?

You didn't. The sync is fully done, not only by importing new files, but also by deleting files which are not in that folder anymore. So at the end you will have that subcategory reflecting that folder's content.

Allright then, so we need a new version of Andy's folder loader plugin, when we just want to update the subcat. with new additions on the HD and leave the existing files as they are, or should Andy's old plugin still work with 2.0 ? I hope so, because it saves a lot of manual importing...

But, again, I salute you for your great job and hoping your (paid?) version to be ... has a voice track module...

Happy holidays to you!
