Audio Processing

Hi there everyone. As I said in my first post a few weeks ago, I am new to Radio DJ, but loving the software.  Am going through that experimental period that I am sure you all went through, testing settings and determining the best sound. I am looking through all the forum posts as best I can and have gleaned a lot of good tips from there, but am just looking for a little bit of guidance on the Audio Processing part of Radio DJ. Have been playing around with various options, but just wonder if anyone has a favourite or preferred setting in there. Or is it all about personal tastes. At the moment I have settled on the graphic equalizer enabled more or less as by the default setting.  AGC is disabled, but I have landed on the 'Soft 2' setting on the compressor setting.  Will keep trying other options, but will try that for a while. Two questions though. What does 'In Chain Volume ' mean.?  Is that the total output?  It was at 40 but have to 50, is that good or bad.? What is best.  Also, the Stereo Enhancer!. I have that at 1.  Again, is there an ideal setting..

Do these settings help any? These are the settings I use and everything sounds great.

Thanks Gary.

Will give those a try, but will continue to experiment.

I have a variation of Gary's. It's pretty much the same, except I disable the Compressor Audio and set AGC to Hard.

Thanks Gary for your solution, which was certainly better my original settings, but this helps allow the music to sound more natural, at least to my ears.  ;)

...oh, and it works wonders for the VOA news feed too.

Cheers,
Bryan.

Thanks for getting back Bryan.

Will try your settings as well. All part of the fun.

Still not sure what  "In Chain Volume " means, or what the Stereo Enhancer does.   :-)

The link you posted back then is no longer working. Is that on purpose? :)

EDIT:
I just noticed the pinned topic with a mediafire link to the settings.
