I am looking for an encoder plugin to use for Live365. I had it, but then I updated the software wrong and now have 2 different versions of Radio DJ on my computer. So I am looking for an encoder for my 2.0 version. Thanks.

There is no plugin for 2.0 you have to use a standalone encoder.

bmroyer

Which standalone encoder do you recommend?

country101

there are tons of them. Go pick one. Gary and Jhonny have them listed on their respective sites. They are all good. bad, whatever.

bmroyer

Can you show me where these sites are? I just need a stable encoder.

country101

they are on all of Gary's postings. All you have to do is click on it and away you go. IF not you can use a wonderful tool called google

None of these seem to work. None of these encoders support Icecast 2.

Did you try BUTT (version 1.16). Don't know if it supports Icecast V2 as I'm using Shoutcast.

I got that one to work but it does not pick up my radio DJ. I picked my audio device and tried all three of them. There is no sound coming into the encoder, thus no streaming music.

I am using a Behringer USb X1204 for a broadcasting desk.

Basically you have to select your channel from your Behringer USB desk which sends the audio output to Butt.

You can select this in the Audio Device field. The leds in the main screen of BUTT should come up.

I just found this post of 2013: http://www.radiodj.ro/community/index.php?topic=4299.0
As i saw in the user manual of your mixer, you cannot affect USB input (RDJ output) to a fader and it's annoying...
So i think you should:
-Buy a new soundcard (internal if possible or USB)
-Connect your USB mixer to the RDJ PC.
-No need to install drivers for this USB audio interface.
-Start a standalone encoder (i.e. BUTT) and set input to your USB device (mixer)
-Go to RDJ options/soundcards and set main output to the new soundcard line out  as well as all other outputs except for the monitor output that you must route to your main PC soundcard.
-Restart RDJ
-Install an audio cable between the PC main soundcard line out and a stereo input of your mixer (5/6)
-Now you should be able to monitor RDJ tracks on your mixer headphones by pushing the "solo" button of 5/6.
-Install an audio cable between line out from the aditionnal soundcard to 7/8 input (from RDJ main out)
-You will also be forced to use Skype on the same PC, setting Skype output to your main soudcard... and push "main" on 5/6 to route Skype to mixer output.
I don't see a better configuration because of limitations for this mixer...

Since this a post of 2013, the software of your mixer might have been altered. So it could be that some things work differently.

Still working on it. What is the difference than my Scarlett usb and the behringer? The Scarlett worked in the old version of radio dj.

You dont have to use Virtual Audio Cables. If you are feeding audio through your USB mixer make sure BUTT or any encoder can see it. If it cant then not sure what is the deal. I know every encoder works as it should. I think you are not doing something right.

I have the encoder set with the mixer and all of the radio dj soundcard are pointed to the mixer. When playing radio dj the radio waves do not generate on the butt encoder. My Mic that is hooked into the mixer does work.
