Hello Marius and the remaining friends of this forum
I need clarification and help
I created a category in SWEEPERS with the name from 8am to 9am and intended that sweepers registered in this category played in the rotation from 9am to 10am
I programmed but they do not play will be some bub or does not work even creating another category in SWEEPERS Radio Dj only plays even SWEEPERS with the categories DAILY SWEEPERS and Nightly sweepers ??

What I want is for recorded voice files to play at the beginning of the intro and end of the songs giving the impression that there is a live speaker with recorded voice takes
is it that I'm doing something wrong or is there another way to get the voice calls to do what I want to do before the songs in the beginning intro or end?

how do I register these files and how do I program them?
I've tried it several times in many ways and the voice files only play in the DAILY SWEEPERS and Nightly sweepers category.
Thanks for the help from Marius or another friend here in the forum
one more time thank you
I hope you help

Chip Douglas Mosley

I don't have time to fully respond to your statements, but you can create new subcategories under the sweepers. I have already added weekend sweepers and special hour sweepers for certain programs. Look at the tutorials on how to set them up. You can certainly do what you want to do. Again, I'm short on time right now, but there are others here who can explain how to do it, or just look at the tutorials.

Like Chip suggested you have to create new subcategories.

Maybe the way I set up the sweepers might help you.

I have created 4 subcategories for sweepers (see first attachment). These categories are for Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Night (so I removed the existing categories Daily and Night, because I'm not gonna use them).
I have specific sweepers for these parts of the day. For example for the morning I have created some sweepers with 'Goodmorning ...' These sweepers I have imported in the Sweepers category Morning. The same I have done for the other specific sweepers, Evening sweepers in the Evening category, Night sweepers in the Night category.
But there are also some general sweepers (i.e. Stationname) which I like to play all day. These sweepers I had to duplicate and give them a different filename (as you cannot import a file with the same name twice). The general sweepers I imported in all 4 sweeper categories as well.

By using events you are able to play the specific sweepers at a certain time (see the second and third attachment). I added the Morning sweepers to the morning events, the Afternoon sweepers to the afternoon events and so on.

The reason why I duplicated the general sweepers is that RadioDJ can load only one sweeper category (the sweeper category is displayed in the left top of RadioDJ - yellow dot). So I found it easier to add the general sweepers to all 4 sweeper categories in stead of loading 4 or 5 events every hour with just sweepers (first Morning sweeper event, next General sweeper event, then Morning sweepers event again and so on ...)

Yes dear friend
I did it I have 18 sweepers named differently but it in playliste at the time of the rortação of the musicas with the sweepers intended he always repeats the same does not throw them different
In music 1 a sweeper is HELLO GOOD MORNING 1
in the third song is in the rotation to play a sweeper and he repeats the same
and so on successively on other musics with sweeper in middle beginning and end
I think this situation is forgetful

There are two different ways to set sweepers. You can add sweepers to a song. When you open the Track Editor and go to Sweepers, you can add specific sweepers to that song. In this case you have to set Intro of a track as well with the CUE editor, when you want to set the sweeper to the intro of a song.

When you go to rotations you have 4 possibilities: WITHOUT, START, INTRO and END.

WITHOUT : no sweeper will be played
START : a sweeper will be played at the beginning of a track
INTRO : the specific assigned sweeper(s) will be played in the intro
END : a sweeper will be played at the end of a track

When you choose START or END it will play a sweeper from the category which is selected at that moment (the sweeper category is displayed in the left top - at the yellow dot). And yes in this case it can play the same sweeper several times. So the system picks the sweeper.
When you choose INTRO it will play the sweeper which you have assigned to that track. This way you decide which sweeper is played and not the system. Another advantage is that the sweeper won't play over the lyrics.

Another option is that you create a track yourself with the song and sweeper. You have to create a specific category of songs with sweepers and add this category in a rotation.

Yes I know
What I intend is that for an hour and with a rotation given the name 8h-9h he will play swepeers at that time at the beginning or end of the songs as we program them
What happens is that I have for now 15 sweepers in the sweepers folder 8h 9h and in that category
when the rotation shoots and consequently the sweepers in the yellow dot it carries the sweepers yes but always the same.
For 60 minutes in all the songs that I programmed a sweeper he is always playing the same one should switch once there is 15

That's strange. Can't explain that.

Did you try to Clear the playlist so it builds a new playlist. Does it still show that only sweeper?

when you import a sweeper make sure to change the music category to sweeper.
change the track type to sweeper then on the right put a check mark in the overlay file box.

I have two versions of the time announce I use:
1) voice over (set up over the intro of a new song...I have songs with 6 seconds or more intro set up as a secondary category.)
2) cold voice (so I can use it between promos and weathercasts where voice over isn't required).

In the late 60s and early 70s, 770 WABC New York used to give all time checks as "Chime Time." As a "tribute" lo that Top 40 music giant, all of my time checks on my oldies station sound like this:
"Jukebox 92.7 Chime Time (a chime runs behind the voice and continues over the hour announce) 9:34" (the chime is not behind the minutes because it fades out behind the hour announcement.)  ;D

I have re-recorded all of the hourly time announces to include the Chime Time announcement as part of the hour announce.

Problem solved with the tip and well taken advantage of

Please check if all sweeper tracks are still in the right map.

Go to: Utilities - Verify Tracks and click Start. If nothing shows up then all tracks are in the right map. If the sweeper tracks show up you have to recolate them.

Also execute Database Optimization.

THANK YOU
