So I have adverts setup as a timed event to play at 37, 56 and 58 during the hour.   In event setup, I have load advert.mp3 and then play with smart timing.   I have smart event interval at 30 seconds.   It works great when the song ends within 30 seconds before or after the advert.  I noticed that sometimes things just don't align up with auto DJ and it will cut a song off in the middle.   Is there any way to set up some sort of rules that will allow the playlist to fit a song within the advert time to prevent cutting off of the song.   Meaning instead of picking that song that had 430 left and cuts off at 2min into it.   It picks a song that is between 130 and 230 and aligns everything perfectly.

Thanks.

QuoteI published v2.0.0.3 in which i isolated the "smart events" code, so it shouldn't interfere anymore. I think that is the best decision until i will have a solution for them.
So, please download the latest version and install it.

That particular functionality does not currently exist in RDJ (though may have been previously been suggested in the enhancements/ideas for future updates area of the forum)?  If it were possible, I think it would be a great option, particularly for top-of-the-hour events to land exactly on the hour.  A pretty comprehensive playlist of tracks would be required though to make that happen.

Maybe a combination/mixture of both track-swapping and smart timing would be an awesome (but probably difficult to program) feature.

Smart Timing is a clever way of achieving a similar, but not exactly the same, result.
Though as mentioned just before, that particular feature is 'on hold' at the moment while a fix can be found to make that particular complicated-to-program feature work as intended.

Yep that's exactly what I'm running into.    Adverts play then news at the top of the hour.
