MB RECASTER FREE 4.5 Update

• New internal server: stream directly from your computer without a stream host server. (require to map a tcp port on your router)
• Added OPUS and Apple AAC codec: Apple AAC codec require installation of ITunes or QuickTime on your computer
• MP3 from 24 to 320k, AAC+ from 16 to 96k, AAC from 128 to 320k, Opus from 20 to 320K, OGG from 32 to 256K
• Save current connections count to a text file CurrentListeners.txt
• Send in-stream artwork to Shoutcast v.2: logo station must be in MBRecaster folder with name logo.jpg, while current song cover must be set in  Setup\Metadata and must be in .jpg format (.png not supported for now)

Can that listeners.txt file be read by the History plugin in RadioDJ?

Hej Gary,

Just installed the new version of MB Recaster. The CurrentListeners.txt file is in the MBRecasterFree map (see attachment)

In the History Plugin (see attachment):
Select Show Listeners Count and Select the CurrentListeners.txt file from the MBReCasterFree map and it already works!

I have the latest version of MB recaster but there is no map with Currentlisteners.text File. Where can i find this file?

It should be in the main MB recaster program folder which is usually installed to the C:\ drive.

Yes I'd ask MB Recaster for help with this one, Its all rather strange.

The MBRECatserFree executable on your folder is dated on may while the latest version is from June, try to install the latest version https://www.mbradio.it/en/download-en/customers-area/download?path=DEMO%2B-%2BFREE%252FMBRecasterFreeInstall.exe to see if there is any difference

Currently I'm using version 4.5.3.1 and the Currentlisteners.txt file is in the folder and everything works fine in RadioDJ itself as well.

Do you see you listeners number in the encoder red line?

No number at all.

Possibly you have to enter an administrator password in the encoder setting or leave it empty(if it's the same as soruce password) this depend from your stream server, if the source and administrator passwords are the same or different ... look at your control panel for this informations
