Search by album

Is there an option to search by album name?
I'm trying to search for an album I know exist in the tracklist in the main window, or in Tracks Manager, but it only searches in titles and artists. It would be really helpful to also be able to search for album name, or even better, be able to select what I'm searching for: Either album or artist or title (or a combination of the three).

You can filter what you can search for by going to Options>Plugins>Search plugin>Settings

Not having RadioDJ 1.8.2 installed anymore I can't verify that one... I'm pretty sure you were able to do it with that version.


{Edit} Yes v1.8.2 did have this feature... You need Plugins>song search>settings

In my active plugins there is Plugin_Search dll and xml, but it doesn't show up in my plugin list under Options

Have you right checked on the plugin_search dll to check if Windows is blocking it? Right Click>Properties it should say if its blocked if it unblocked but read only change that too.

That's weird, I go to options>plugins and it is listed in the plugins as:

I suggested this feature months ago when Marius was asking for new features to be included in v2 because I didn't know it existed in 1.8.2

I just copied the xml file from my archive and as soon as I did it appearing in my plugins

That plugin doesn't allow you to search by album in the tracks manager, which is where i thought it would/should be

Thanks for pointing me towards the option in the Search plugin to allow to search for albums. I guess I'll just have to remember to search there and not in Tracks Manager, as I expected to be able to search for albums there (the same as @RFU).

An option in that plugin to be able to search for albums would be very welcome

on the main screen , in the search field. click on "any category" scroll down to album  then click on the 2nd tab and if you have all of your tags correct it will pull up the cuts from the album.
