RDJ 2.0.0.6

Hey Guys,

We recently upgraded from 2.0.0.5 to 2.0.0.6 and since have noticed that randomly RDJ stops playing randomly, AutoDJ is enabled, there are files in the playlist waiting to be played but it seems to just stop

Has anyone else had this issue

I have checked the timed events to see if anything in it is upsetting RDJ but i have not found anything

Is the other button set to "Automated"?

oops i forgot to add that it is. Both AutoDJ and Autoated is enabled.

It is so random and can not always replicate the issue, eg as i was sitting here in the studio it did it twice but hasnt done it now in 10 minutes

I've not seen this behaviour with my copy of RadioDJ 2.0.0.6 have you checked the error logs to see if there are any errors related to RadioDJ?

Hi,

There is a ton or errors with differant file names. Here is an exsample:

PI112 ERROR: BASS_ERROR_FILEFORM! File: M:\PHAZE FM\Aerosmith - I Don't Want To Miss A Thing.wav

The file is on the network and the computer can see and access it

An intersting thing is "Aerosmith - I Don't Want To Miss A Thing.wav" is not in the list of songs to be played

Are you sure that all files have been updated? That error comes from the bass sound engine, which was updated to the latest version. Maybe you have some mixed bass versions? Please make sure that "Bass.Net.dll" is v2.4.13.2 and "bass.dll" is v2.4.13.8.

I ran the installer from your website "SetupRadioDJ2006f.exe" and let it over right all the files that where in the directory C:\RadioDJ (after doing a backup of the files) as i have done since 2.0 or the last database upgrade.

it sound be noted not that i think it matters that we are using a proper +4 db broadcast soundcard

Most likely your WAV fileformat is not supported. WAV as a file extension (and as a format) can have several specifications and can even be a container for another format. That another program can play it doesn't mean that the files are "right" from the perspective of Bass (the audiolibrary that RDJ uses).

Did the previous version of RDJ play this (exact same) file?

Yes the previous version had no issues. Have been suing RDJ for over 2 years

Anyone that uses any other file format for a proper station other then .ogg or .flacc or .wav need a a serious education. I will leave it there with that comment. You will never find any .m4a or mp3 files in our studios

Hi Marius,

No those errors only appear when playout stops and i guess it tries to correct its self, rebooting RDj seems to fix the issue but we can not afford for the station to be playing dead air for anymore then 20 seconds
