Technician's location at the combined radio and recording studio at Radiohellefors. DJs and hosts sit behind glass, far from all the technical things they should not touch. ;)

Since a couple of years back the studio is undergoing rebuilding, sometimes it progresses, sometimes it goes backwards ... but Radiodj usually rolls quite stable when no one has a live broadcast.

Sorry for late reply, lost not only password, but computer as well.

A Soundcraft Series 5 FOH is perfect. Everyone should have one... at least if someone else is paying the electrical bill. No just kidding, but I do use it when I'm managing a live show. With way to many sources combined with people who wanna hear other things than the actual broadcast, it's a blessing with 8 subs, 12 aux, 10 vca and a 16x10 output matrix to route the sound so everyones happy. Think we once even did a multitrack recording without disturbing the broadcast.

Too short arms and too few hands makes it a pain in the a.. for normal broadcast though. Nowadays they mostly run shows with a small Allen&Heat Zed14 directly from inside the studio, and the large console is ment to be mostly for recording and mixing music.

stevewa,

Is that your setup in the picture? What kind of board is that? If it is yours, what did you pay for the board?

I'm using a used Radio Shack Realistic 5 pot stereo mixer that I've had for 40 years.

I also want to know how you got the pic set up to post. Every time I try to post a picture here, it says the pic is too big.

Thanks!

Hi Chip, the board is a Wheatstone PR & E Oasis 12 ch console. http://wheatstone.com/radio-products1/radio-consoles/pr-e/pr-e-oasis. it is owned by the college and purchased by them , big $$$

hooray for radio shack! i've built many things from them before they went out of business.

i always use imgurl to post my pics, and then just copy the url of the image at imgul, and paste that into the "insert image" button into the body of this text editor of this forum.

Oke well this is my studio. Just the master bedroom cleared out and a studio build in. Studio equipment: Eela SBM90 with modified meterbridge and telco. ( GSM connection possible through TRRS ). For the SM7b the DBX286s, other mic's DBX166 and the Behringer Mic2200. For line to mic there is a Behringer DI4000 and a patchfield. TX line has a silence detection, and Alesis compressor limiter and a Behringer Utramatch Pro for analogue to optical. Also included is Visual Radio with 2 HD webcams, NDI video playout to OBS and an app on the android to have a 3rd moving cam. RadioDJ is doing the radio automation. Off hours playing nonstop. Switching to the studio when live ( optical input ) and playing stream from Studio 2 and location broadcast. Audio processing via Stereotool V9.31 DSP plugin in Radiodj.
