Silence remover?

Hi all - just a quick question.  Always have used silence-remover in the auto-dj tab.  Seems maybe I tightened it up a little too much a while back and it's been too tight where a song isn't quite done and the next one starts and walks on the end of the first.  Does this sound right?  So if you tighten it up, it will go through everything and tighten everything up?  I thought I remembered reading somewhere here that maybe if you want to loosen it back up, you have to loosen up the silence-remover settings and then re-import every song?  Otherwise you have to edit the cue points manually...which sucks for 2500 songs.  Is there any way to change the silence-remover settings and then force it to go through and apply it to every song?  I would rather do that than delete every song from the database and re-import them all, but if that's what I have to do then I will.  Just looking for a few words of wisdom.
