RadioDJ v2.0.1.6 Beta Released!

Must just have been a blip because  its not done it since I posted and I've been keeping a close eye on things... its only done it on the one song Jon & Vangelis I have the associated artist fields filled in and that's been working OK as far as I can see just one blip but it still could be something.

Yes the date played field had updated on the track so it definitely bamboozling me as what happened.

Seems we've got a problem, possible a BUG, with REST plug-in in 2.0.1.6. REST cannot modify the playlist by inserting new track, even if you try accomplish that by running an event via REST command.

I described this problem here: https://www.radiodj.ro/community/index.php?topic=13272.0 because i thought that I was doing something wrong.

Its just trying to put Freddie Mercury into the queue as part of a Duet (Freddie Mercury And Montserrat Caballe) yet he's only just played as a solo artist no matter what I do the duet still tries sneaking into the queue.

Then Jaki Graham played with David Grant only for another Jaki Graham song to try and enter the queue also... its puzzled me to say the least. I've re-ran the associated artists feature but that's helped little.

Tomorrow is another day and another rotation I will see if it exhibits this behaviour with my Oldies rotation tomorrow. but somethings amiss somewhere.

All is working fine but just ran into this today. Image display in RDJ had a white box with red X and outline:

Went back to normal when I restarted the program. Also this is the first time in a few weeks of running this version of seeing this error.

Shouldn't this topic be put in the board named "Beta Versions Releases" ?

and shouldn't each "bug" that people discover have it's own topic posting, so the bugs can be isolated into individual fixes, so it is not added onto this announcement of the beta release, and making this topic thread very unorganized?

AFAIK Marius reads all the posts in a Topic where a beta is concerned!
Seasoned Pro here when it comes to RadioDJ beta releases... 5 years since 1.6.5.8 RC....

Hi.

I've just installed RDJ v2.0.1.6 and noticed the following error (at least for me).

I cannot drag the "Artist/Title" bars in the "Search" area to see more of a title etc.

I did a post earlier but wasn't about an issue sure so i deleted the post... However.
RadioDJ appears to be putting artists at the bottom of the queue who have just played or even currently playing. Not quite sure what's going on but its doing it with a rotation that I deleted and started afresh.. AFAIK its only doing it on this rotation, I will test with another rotation tomorrow (I'd do it today but its way to hot to concentrate)
Even ran a repair on the Database & then upgraded to the latest MariaDB but its made little or no difference. Its certainly a strange one.

I've switched to a different rotation been playing for 3 hours, Its only put 1 artist in the queue so far after that artist had played but it hasn't done it since. Its a weird little issue.

Could the contents of the new database column (associated artists) give any clues? Just look ofcourse at the first and second time that artist is played.

Yes I've ran Associated Artists on my database I did that as soon as the beta was released..


It happened at least 3 times in total yesterday while we had it open for over 15 hours. The played date is changing when a song plays. One song that repeated itself yesterday was a request, we had Dusty Springfield pop back into the queue after the song had played as a request..

I've checked everything I can think of and even with my experience of RadioDJ even I'm at a loss. Doing some more observations today.

Its just happened again at a completely random time. Again No Errors in event viewer it just appears to do it randomly every so often but its like roulette as to when it strikes.

Yes, but look into the database (HeidiSQL) at the contents of the associated artists field. If you can, post results here. Maybe it gives a clue.
