Showing 2 versions of radioDJ

Hey, gang. I am showing 2 versions of radiodj. 2.0.0.6 and 2.0.0.7. I thought I had uninstalled v2.0.07 or whatever. Only have one folder. I downloaded 2.0.0.6 yesterday and it is blank of all my music so needs to be setup.  2.0.07. shows all my tracks but won't work when I try to play so I am guessing there is a conflict somewhere. Can't find the v2/0/0/7 folder anywhere on pc yet I have 2 shortcuts for both versions. I did uninstall radiodj as per instructions because was having the issue on new pc. Downloaded 2.0.0.6 and now haven the same issue. Think I figured it out. I found the 2.0.0.7 folder on my exterior hard drive. So should I move that folder top my c:drive and uninstall v2.0.0.6? Or reverse and uninstall v2.0.0.7. and from ext. hard drive and work with v2.0.0.6. i am sure that is where the conflict lies. Any help would be appreciated.

Okay  uninstalled both versions - reinstalled v2.0.0.6 and now doing the same thing as before. Stopped in middle of track and won't play anything now.

Amazing what happens when you search the forums. The sound card output was set to my USB headphones. Adjusted to voicemeeter AIO and voila all fine. Funny it's the simplest things overlooked when you are  searching for answers.

never mind -doing the same thing. okay - have sound card on radiodj set to Voicemeeter VAIO on Voicemeeter Banana. Have MBRecaster set for same. The sound comes through but when I decrease the volume in Voicemeeter banana it decreases it in MB Recaster as well. If I change any of the audio settings in MBRecaster , RadioDJ stops and if I add another song it just disappears. It's frozen in mid song now.Running Windows 10 Pro on an HP Prodesk. I have been running Radiodj for 4 years now with no issues. All started when my other pc crashed and I am trying to set up my new one. Any help would be appreciated.

Seeing lots of views but no replies. Seriously, not a newbie to radiodj as have been using this great program for 4 years now. Only had issues when setting up on new pc. I realize Voicemeeter and MBRecast are not supported here nor do I expect them to be, and when I check their forums little posted on working with radiodj. If someone can just show me how they have their sound card on radiodj set, the virtual inputs on Voicemeeter setup (VAIO or AUX) and MBRecast output then I will be eternally grateful. I run a large indie rock station and would really like to get back up and running as it has been for over a week now.  My database is fine, my connection through MBRecaster is fine - I am just having issues with radiodj freezing or not playing songs at all when I tinker with various outputs. When I get all to sync up, MBRecaster volume level lowers when lowering VM Banana. If it doesn't work I will continue the search. Running radiodj v 2.0.0.6. on Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.  I hate to go to Pklayit Liuve or NExtkast as a solution to get up and running. I love radiodj and will definitely pay for it when the paid version comes out, So, if anyone out there can help it would be much appreciated.

There are a few good tutorials on YT on Connecting RadioDJ with VoiceMeeter Banana and in this case using BUTT Encode...Should work like your MBRecast...but I'm a Broadcast Utility Tool Fan.

Thanks, Vanlen. I actually tried BUTT but it was doing the same thing. Wasn't reading RadioDJ or VM. Thanks though good video and may try again.

I have searched tirelessly through Google and Youtube and the closest I can find is a video saying you have to use virtual cables (which I have) to use the hard in put 2, not the virtual cables. Radiodj won't run at all when doing so and there is no Virtual cable listed in MB Recaster - only the the VM Banana options. One thing I noticed in radiodj under sound cards under options - everything is disabled except main, voicetrack, sweepers/vo and monitoring - all my auxiliaries are disabled. They are grayed out and cannot enable them. Not sure if this is an issue. Radiodj will work momentarily when changing the main to either VM VAIO or AUX. (I have noticed different users use either one).  I found this forum; https://www.radiodj.ro/community/index.php?topic=8985.0 and will see what I can do - hadn't used the B1 and B2 when all was running on the old pc.

Hmmm.   You probably know that when you change your sound card settings in RadioDJ you must exit the program for them to take effect.  If MB Recaster sees the VM Banana options then try  B1 or B2 - Think of B1 and B2 as your selected VIRTUAL OUTPUTS of VoiceMeeter.  Use the RodeCaster Pro now but when using VoiceMeeter I use B2 for sending to the encoder and anything on the mixer strips in VoiceMeeter with B2 selected will go to the encoder as well.  B1 output is the default.  Also note that I set Voicemeeter Banana as the default WINDOWS Audio Device.  So everything from windows YT Players etc use the B1 OUTPUT  Virtual Output  and the other is the B2 OutPut or AUX. 

Keep trying as you are getting close.

Thanks, vamlen and yes - I have been rebooting radiodj after each change - that big box that comes up reminds me...lol. I have been studying the VM Banana manual and now have an idea if using the B1 and B2, etc.  I will play with it tonight after work. I hope I'm getting close.  I can see, by the number of views, that it is hard to get support in this forum. Special thanks to Vanlen for taking the time to set me in the right direction. I hate asking for help but since my station has been growing, I was (and still am) at my wits end getting Radiodj set up on my new system. I have been down for over a week now and afraid of losing the listeners I have struggled so hard to get. I love RadioDJ - best piece of radio automation software out there and will definitely pay for it when it comes to that (on the condition a manual will be included). A manual is definitely needed because although there maybe fantastic support in the forums , it can take days to get that help. I have tested PlayIt Live in the meantime and have had no problems getting it to work so will have to use that. In the meantime, I will keep searching and working on getting Radiodj working. Please, this is not a bitch session, just got frustrated seeing people reading my post for help but only 1 person offering up any support. I have to have my station running.

Yes a topic can get a lot of views but only people who have the answers generally reply.

We're all volunteers so if your question isn't answered by anyone then its usually because no one has a solution for you at that moment in time.

We're only human after all  .

Totally understandable - and no hard feelings. I get frustrated when I can't fix something but I shall prevail!

All good now..after 5 days of frustration and hours of searching finally got it all sorted out. I apologize for my frustration but was in sort of dire need to get station up and running. Thanks to Roderick Carter's videos and VM Banana and Radiodj and some persistence all is good in my world. Love Radiodj and did not want to have to not use it. Now comes the fun part - setting everything up again with thousands of songs, rotations, events, drops, sweepers....but I love doing it.

to be honest mate.. there is great support here..
I recently tried PlayoutONE and NextKast pro
what I discovered was this..
company support is just that, and is very narrow with the confines of their software.
community support isn't as quick but covers things commercial support wouldn't even dream of!
I have always found the answers in community support here!
there are some really fantastic souls here!
if anyone is interested BTW playout one is virtually useless if you have a lot to import (it is probably a lot better if you buy all the modules but I don't do this for profit)
it is also extremely demanding on resources as it uses MS SQL (express) there is nothing express going on there, it is like swimming in custard!! don't try using it without an i7 and 16GB of ram, just don't

Nextcast, I can't say too much about! I simply because after four days, I still couldn't get my head round the basics
