Dual PC setup
« on: September 10, 2019, 08:50:35 PM »
Hey everyone. I am starting an online radio at my university and I wanted to connect 2 PCs to our mixer. One for streaming (with radio dj) and the other for recordings. How can I do that? What cables would I need?

It's hard to say without knowing what make and model of mixer you have and the nature of your PCs. Here's a good place to start:

Squirrel FM : Always playing with our nuts!

Studio systems running RadioDJ & Rivendell (occasional only)
Flow 8 Deck & PlayIt Cartwall for live mixing and assist.
Remote systems running RadioDJ
Pioneer DDJ-SX control surface.

If your mixer has a audition or monitor channel, that could be a great set up. On-line computer output goes to the program channel. Production computer connects to the audition channel.
