Trigger an event from external m3u playlist
« on: September 18, 2019, 09:41:18 AM »
Hi all,

I am using an external music scheduling program and I love the teaser plugin.

I would like to trigger the plugin from my external m3u playlist that I import into RadioDJ just to avoid two "jingles" back to back.

Is this possible?

If it is, how exactly is this done?

/Chris

Yes.  Use this method to schedule events in an external scheduler.

1) Create a manual event to do something.
2) Create a short audio file of silence (I made mine 0.1 seconds long) for each event you want to schedule.
3) In Tracks Manager, edit the silent file(s), go to the (I think it's called) Other Tab (the last one on the right) and on end event select your manual event.
4) Add these silent "Trigger" files (Save them as type "Other" in the database as well to your scheduler database.

There you go.
