Icecast VS Server online

I wanted to ask Boi more experienced than me, for a web radio and better to have a local server with icecast and then broadcast outside or is it better to broadcast directly to an online server?

icecast at home is nice to test your stream  (i do it) and not stream to the internet If you like to stream to/on the internet you have to do with royalties to the artist, so if you like to stream on the internet look for a icecast/shoutcast stream provider who regularize the royalties for you.
