I presume its still the config.php that needs configuring with the new scripts available from the sticky topics of this part of the forums.
Yes Gary, I tried to keep them as inline as possible to not cause too much confusion :)

Hi folks,
Sorry for keeping an old post alive. I'm having some trouble with trying to get the demo scripts to work, I've put the correct details into the server_inc.php file.
When I try to run the script with the browser, the menu comes up with the background, but there's no details from the database.
I've tried both 2.1 and 2.2, and get the same result.
I've tried the pre developed WOAAF one and it seems to run fine.
I would use that, but I would rather build configure my own css file, so as not to use anyone else's layout.
Would be grateful for the help.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

When I've edited the index.php with the connection settings and time zone it keeps saying: "station is currently offline".
When testing the connection on https://www.stewartswebworks.com/databaseportcheck.php it's all green :).

So i can reach the database, the plugin is active on radiodj, the radio is playing but after uploading the index to an external site it keeps being offline.

Link to the index:

www.axtran.be/index.php

Any ideas what is going wrong?

Hi I have the same issue. After taking awhile to load, it loads with "This station is offline" as well. I am playing music, have the requests plugin active. Do you also need to be encoding on A******t etc for it to work?

Any tips would be appreciated. :(

Hi everyone,

I have exactly the same issue as most of the others here, port 3306 is fully accessible and user credentials correct and can connect to database.

Currently using a dynamic IP and getting the error message "the station is currently offline" although I have used the web works database checker and open port checker and they both show the port as being open and connectivity to the database.

I'm using MariaDB and RadioDJ is fully online using Butt.

I've attached a screen print of my configuration which doesn't really give much information. I'm using tmdhosting and believe they are in Chicago so I hope the time zone is in the correct format. Would this prevent the server from being online?

Regards

Daniel

Use a service such as No-IP and craft a URL that links to your IP

Theres a tool they let you download that keeps checking against your IP and if it changed it updates.

Thank you very much for the quick response,

I'm not sure if this will resolve the initial connection issue but I'm definitely going to use. I will update with any findings if I get this resolved.

Thank you for the "No ip" recommendation it's absolutely phenomenal.
Unfortunately this doesn't resolve the initial connection issue, index.php has full read and write permissions.
I do apologise for my initial misleading question because I mentioned a dynamic IP which I don't think is the cause of the present issue.

I followed the tutorial by Roderick Carter but he is working on a localhost. I'm 99% sure it's not a problem with my hosting but I will contact them now.
