The Big C

As I write this post I'm utterly heartbroken.

Last week my partner (Tech Monkey) was diagnosed with Cancer unfortunately there isn't anything they can do for him other than palliative care as its in his bones and lungs.

So I hope you'll understand if I'm not around much in the foreseeable.

I'm trying to keep a brave face on things BUT I'm slowly drowning and struggling. I've lost so many people to cancer its like a kick in the ribs everytime I hear the word.

Right now I could use a hug... Tech Monkey was rushed into hospital last night, right now and he's not so good.


He's got some really nasty infection the doctors are doing sterling work treating him. This has all snowballed since the cancer diagnosis just 12 days ago..


I'm all over the place as you can imagine, The only thing keeping me from losing my mind right now is Music.

I guess I was hoping for miracles. Things have gone downhill faster than I'd expected.


They didn't happen my best friend and Husband passed away early this morning... Guess I'm going to need to have some time to grieve.

Don't forget to tell the person you love that you love them because you never know what's around the corner.

Its thinking about the good times that's keeping me going so far today. You know we never had an argument in the (just under) 10 years we were together.

We were soulmates, We knew what each other was thinking at times. Its going to be hard without him but as you say and i've said to many a bereaved person. Its thinking about the good things that's gotten me through other deaths in the past.

I have so much stuff swimming around my head right now.

My wife pasted away on 6 January 2018, I will never forget the last dark evening with her in the hospital (palliative care).
I never had anyone so intense in my arms.
A day later she was gone.
Life can be hard,  you're right when you say, don't forget to tell the person you love that you love them because you never know what's around the corner.
This must be so hard for you, you are in my thoughts.
