HELP - Install of SQL. Not connecting to RadioDJ

I looked through these forums for an answer without success. After a few days and about a dozen tries of installing this, I thought I would post a quick video of what I am encountering.

The radiodj connect settings to the server is running local so the ip is 127.0.0.1.


ps. better to use MariaDB it's vaster.

Thank you. I uninstalled all and downloaded MariaDB.

Installed MariaDB with default settings and then installed RadioDJ

I still cannot connect to the database. What settings should I be using?

IP address should be 127.0.0.1
What DB name shall i choose? radiodj2 (the default in RadioDJ) or MariaDB? (I tried both without success)
What username shall I use? Root is the default in RadioDJ, I tried root as well as admin using the password I entered when installing MariaDB

The Green light saying server is online is lit so you just need to hit install database you can call the database whatever you want but the user should be root as it is.
