Loudness value ignored for some songs

Hi,

I have encountered the following issue: despite the fact that all the songs have in DB the loudness field updated, for a few of them RadioDJ does not apply correctly the value. For these songs, even if loudness is set to a value lesser than 1 (0.38), RadioDJ plays these songs for the loudness = "1".

I don't use AGC.

All songs are in flac format.

I would like to know why these songs are played as if loudness was set to "1" and how to make RadioDJ to apply the correct value.

I still think that there are some conditions when the loudness value is not applied. These conditions might be related to some details from songs table.
Can someone that has access to the code to check if the loudness is applied correctly for a song that has the following values inserted in songs table:

original_duration: 319.22667
cue_times: &sta=0&xta=319.226598639456&end=319.226666666667&fin=0&fou=6.8027210886612E-05
precise_cue: 1
fade_type: 0
start_type: 0
end_type: 0
mix_type: 0
loudness: 0.45

Hi

I know it has been long since someone posted here... but i am having a similar problem

i have a clip which is to be used as background music while news is read. I have already lowered the volume before importing the song but radioDJ increases the volume automatically to match the others (i assume)

i tried doing 0.50 loudness from the Cue editor... but there is no difference

anyone else encountered this problem?

Are you importing your news as an overlay file? What are the settings in Options/Sound Devices/Mixing Settings for "Set the Song Volume to" for Overlay file?

new is live... and dj is currently lowering the fader...

my issue is not that there is no way round it... just that the setting is not working, just trying to see that its not somthing i'm doing incorrectly

@johnsant1991 , i checked it and with the default settings it is working fine, HOWEVER, if you use the compressor/AGC it will increase the volume based on your settings. This is to be expected since this is its job.
The only workaround that crosses my mind is to lower the track loudness even more, something like 0.2-0.3, you will need to test to find a optimal value.
To be sure that indeed the compressor/AGC is messing with your volumes, go to the bottom buttons and Audio Processing and disable both AGC and compressor and check again if the track loudness is working.
