Remote into RDJ from a separate machine
« on: May 28, 2020, 04:22:08 PM »
Does anyone know if there is a way to set edit points on tracks from a 2nd machine? We'd ideally like to leave the machine with RDJ on to keep running playout but add edit points for hooks etc

Yes provided the tack has the same path to the music... I have an instance on this PC that I connect to the database on the machine running RDJ and the database I can easily edit cue points without having to go to the actual machine.

The Cue Points are stored in the database so If you change it from another machine it should be the same on the other machine.

Yes you can store cue points in tags but i prefer the database settings.

Gary, I can't find your post about soundcard problems, has it been deleted? I have the cause!

Its here https://www.radiodj.ro/community/index.php?topic=14257.0

But since a reinstall of Windows 10 last week its not suffering with any problems on the audio that I can hear.

I'm intrigued as to what the cause could possibly have been though.
