WOW Is it really 10 years.
« on: August 02, 2020, 12:28:19 PM »
Its coming up on 10 years since I discovered RadioDJ v1.3.7.0 via a Google search. Where has the time gone to?

I'd started to look for other software because the software solutions I was using back then really weren't much COP.

(Winamp/Zara/SAM among others)

I guess its been a love affair ever since even though it was 1st January 2011 before we started to use it full time.

I can say I've used every version (Including any BETA testing)

10 years on RadioDJ is a very different beast to what it used to be, its now the most advanced radio playout software IMHO.

Here's to you Marius without your dedication this software wouldn't be where it is today!

I fell in love in the first minute.
I thank Marius for his dedication and all the elements of the forum that with tips and examples made me also dedicate myself to discover and test new things with Radio Dj.
THANK YOU

I've just had an absolute laugh I went to another (broadcasting) forum and looked up posts from 10 years ago about RadioDJ

People literally had meltdowns because RadioDJ was free. One software developer was annoyed by the fact there was a rival to their product he just couldn't get his head around why it was free.

I've had people giving me grief on Twitter at times over this past 7/8 years. People annoyed at my promotion of the software. People were saying RadioDJ was inferior to other software blah blah blah!  :D

They're not saying that now

It may be said, RadioDj is solid and very stable, it does what it's supposed to do.
In the 90's we worked with pc-radio from CBT, good, but for each modification we had to pay, money, money always the same. We had some system crashes and after 5 years, we kicked out pc-radio and switched to MegaMix 2000 from soundforce. It took me 3 months to learn, (RadioDJ 3 days) Especially the commercial planner, filling up commercials until the hour was tricky.
That's the only thing what's still is missing at RadioDj, a way to get to that.
For the rest, it's an 11 out of 10.

Yeah, i think i stumbled across RDJ in a Google search too.  Immediately I was impressed with its functionality and stability.

The old program i was using (Jockey pro) required contacting the vendor to get a new registration code anytime changes were made to the pc. A real hassle! Especially now, since they have completely dissappeared.

RDJ has been so perfect and durable, in fact, i've never gotten around to upgrading past version 1.82.  8)   Thanks Marius for the lovely design and to all here who help support!
