You can work with your hosting provider to ensure that works. Or, we can help you find appropriate resources.

Being listed on tune-in is okay, and it does work, however they also insert ads into what your listeners hear. A custom skill does not, also, a custom alexa skill can help you stay on those devices free if tunein decides to start charging a fee to be listed and/or goes away

It already works for my radio without ever having had to pay for this service and without even having requested it. In fact it is enough to be referenced on TuneIn Radio.

I am writing today to offer you a proof-of concept for allowing people to listen to your radio station(s) via a customized skill for the Amazon Echo line of smart speakers, and Amazon Echo Show devices.

I am convinced there is a significant benefit to having a custom skill in the Amazon skill store.

I can send today (upon request) a  short video demo of how such a custom skill would work - which is strictly proof of concept for your review.

I would welcome the opportunity to help you build a bigger listening audience.
A custom skill in the Amazon Skill Store affords you more flexibility and control.

One advantage would be the ability to thank listeners with a message immediately when they open the stream. To open the stream, listeners speak " Alexa, (open), (start), (play) < your station name>"  and the audio would start.

You also have the (advanced) option of having an audio welcome message play before the stream starts ....

Or, with the basic option, having the Alexa voice say "Starting  <your station name>" (slight variation to this phrase may be needed)" (or any variation thereof). Then, the stream would immediately start.

The "Basic" Start/Stop skill with graphics (on devices with a screen) is $35.00* USD. Graphics, and text displayed, and Alexa voice phrases spoken can be customized to meet your needs.

Alexa only works with real stations that hare registered with one of the "royalty" organizations. And it doesn't even work with all of them

With Very few exceptions - I can get Alexa to play almost ANY stream.

Licensing is a completely separate issue. Station owners are responsible to obtain their own licensing. I am not offering licensing, I am offering connectivity.

He's more than likely on the scam look on code canyon, then look around for some video streaming sites all using the same types of scripts, people crawl out of the woodwork and think people don't have knowledge like 10 years ago where you could go onto social media and not get hit with I can do that for you, I regularly visit a podcast group on FB and seriously seconds after someone posts info about their podcast there are 10 people all begging to promote it, it's laughable.

Steve was able to get my station on Alexa within 48 hours.
I am based in the UK and struggled to find a way of doing it and to be honest technology is not my strength. He was very patient with me and my requests and as a result our station is on Alexa here in the UK, in the US and worldwide.

Steve did an excellent job with my Alexa skill! My station is on Live365. When I used the new version it would do whatever station it wanted, not mine.
