Unknown listener
« on: February 21, 2021, 09:18:36 AM »
I notice that lately we have many visitors with the same IP address this one coming from eu-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com

Now I would think that these are servers that may be connected to stream services, but then I would normally see the IP address of a listener themselves.

Can someone tell me what this could be?

Thank you for your response.

That bleep thread is funny bunch of clueless arguing lol

Is this a visitor or a listener?

If it bothers you, and you run your own server, you could install Fail2Ban and write rules to kick those up addresses if they keep eating all your bandwidth. You could also use an authentication method in icecast to filter our repeat offenders
