Voice Tracking

Hi there. I am trying to set up Voice Tracking on my pc and I can see the sound levels moving in control panel/sound/input in Windows but when I try to use the VT in playlist builder it's not showing any levels. I have the Lame installed and in Settings, I have the sound input to the sound card the voice that it is going into.  What am I doing wrong? Regards Ian
