hi garybaldy been using it now over 6 months it is a good bit of software we are on 24/7 and no probs at all i am using the 1.1.5 no addons just the encoder have used simplecast / butt / and edcast but i do like sound empire caster it works well

Been using SE Caster for over a year now maybe two.
Works very well and is very stable.
However, if Windows does some type of update, or the system shuts down and reboots, SE Caster may display an error. This is not a fault of SE Caster but from Windows.
Win10 does not always assign the soundcards to the same Device ID number when rebooting so make sure you choose Device Name in SE Caster.
If you get an error from SE Caster after a reboot, open up the secaster.ini file (of the root directory of SE Caster) and only remove the Audio Device name on that line, save it and SE Caster will open back up with your streams intact.
You can then reselect your audio device.

I run four SE Casters on the same system (Win7 64bit, 16gb ram), one for each station and each has a minimum of two encoders.

www.radiouniquefm.nl runs 2 streams at the same time via SE Caster. After some trouble with configuring the streams the right way, it runs for months and months perfectly. W10 updates, no problems at all. It restarts and picks up the multiple streaming all by itself - no attention from me needed ;-)

Hello everyone, everything good?
I had to update the version of RadioDJ for Windows 10 that I installed and I started using sound empire caster and I'm really enjoying it, but the metadata of the songs does not appear on the platforms that transmit my webradio.
Maybe I have to insert the plugins from the available metadata in the RadioDJ folder in the existing location in this encoder?.
If anyone can help me or indicate a topic here on the forum that makes this information available, I would be very grateful.
And I'm also really enjoying the new version of RadioDJ, which I believe is the most current (v2.0.4.1). For me RadioDJ remains the best webradio streaming player in the world.

Where do I find this .txt file by Caster?.
I located a plugin dll, in the plugins tab of RadioDJ ("Plugin_MetadataExport.dll")
I know this "NowPalying.txt" is located in the "Metadata Export" tab in RadioDJ, but I can't find it via Caster.

I entered in Caster's "Title update" tab, but for now nothing happened.

Under metadata where is the now playing file being generate to sometimes its just C:\NowPlaying.txt

If the now playing.txt contains wat is on that moment playing. a restart is not needed.
If you not sore do a restart for bood rdj and se caster

I achieved!!
What did I do:
I went to radiodj's 'metadata export' tab and checked that the 'text encoding' was saved as 'UTF8' and checked the 'text in UFT-8' box in 'title update' in the caster.
However, some metadata are showing percentages (%) next to the song names, but it's already halfway there.
I also managed to fix the metados now, watching this video. Very happy...
