A few features

Hi,

Firstly, thank you so much for wiring RadioDJ, I appreciate the many hours it must take to produce software like this, I'm a dev in various languages and know how long it takes to create. If only I could contribute, as I'd happily contribute and provide back changes to the community.

Bear with me, I'm trying to move a whole community station over to RDJ and unfortunately I'll get a lot of resistance. A few feature requests that would help are below if you can think of either how to do it now or as an improvement it would be great.

  • setting for playlist - Ability to hide/display playlist buttons (e.g. to remove the SHUFFLE and EXPAND PLAYLIST buttons to avoid accidental presses as we will never use)
  • setting for playlist - ability to edit the headers. E.g. to remove voice track, sweeper, etc.
  • playlist - Ability to insert/add an event from the main screen. Almost like adding a music/jingle/etc ability to select EVENT and add one
  • sweepers - when adding a sweeper to the playlist, since it's in the category sweepers can it automatically 'sweep'. In our situation, presenters select which sweeper to use for individual songs when they are live. So we cannot use the automatic song sweeper system.
  • Event colours - Ability to set a specific colour to event categories or individual events, so when displayed in the playlist they show as that colour (All events are the same colour at present which can be confusing)
  • playlist builder - recorder - FORCE/set automatic file saving to specific folder with specific name/pattern. e.g. for presenters recording in voice tracks, they just record, hit the save button and it automatically saves to a set location with set filename/mask. Stops presenters having the ability to save files anywhere, call them anything, etc.

I know that's quite a list, but they would be a massive change for us to be able to use it and get adopted fully. I hope some of these are possible and could be brought into new BETA versions.

Thank you as always.
Andy
