Does anyone know of any software that can determine the Genre of a track?, I use a service called ipluggers, the genre tagging is quite atrocious, I'm sure artists are allowed to create their own genres, I came across 2 tracks one had a sub-genre of pop-dance the other dance-pop, Don't get me wrong its a great service to get new music and give your station that fresh vibe at certain times but how the hell to categorise it take today I was merrily plodding along and I thought ill play some new tracks from ipluggers so there I was in the middle of a nice upbeat pop set I dragged a couple of tracks in from I pluggers genred as pop and low and behold some dude in hip-hop starts ranting about covid 19 and assassinate the government, was not my best moment.

I know I'm just as much to blame but there won't be many on here who sit and listen to every track.

Well hopefully made ground on this, had a moan at iPluggers and they said they will look into how tracks there are categorised, the other issue was when searching for pop, if a track had a genre of Pop and also Hip-Hip, if I didn't recognise that track I'd download it again so hopefully they will look into implementing a feature so you can see what has been downloaded previously.

Obviously, artists have been tagging their tracks in as many genres as possible so they'd get found.

Don't they listen to the audio and tell you what the tracks are?, I'm aware Discogs and MusicBrainz are used in Mp3Tag, but unfortunately the tracks I'm referring to have either yet to be released or just not made it to mainstream stations.
