Is it possible to use RadioDJ connected to my mixer & laptop just to record my shows, without going out live?

I have the use of 2 soundcards if needed, Im looking to have the facility of playing tracks with sample decks separately available.
Ideally Id have Fader 1/Fader2/Fader 3 (sample decks) side by side on the mixer.
Maybe you know of a YT tutorial on this?...

Yes you can use RadioDJ without having to go "Live" there is no encoder built into RadioDJ

If you wanted to go live you'd do that via  a StandAlone Encoder

I find using Audacity is a great way to record shows and mixes etc...

Thank you so much for the info. I am trying have been since yesterday a'noon. Still waiting on the Email from MariaDB to proceed. So its a lot slower than I thot..However, Im sure it'll be my fav software too, when it arrives on screen.

So thats around 5 hrs now, theres obviously no email coming from MariaDB. So no progress other than the MDB file is downloaded & unzipped, but no instruction anywhere as to what to do next...

What email are you waiting for exactly you don't need an email registered to use MariaDB at least i didn't i just downloaded and Installed.

Thank you, 'other GM' These lines from your install help page dont seem to be relevant to my download..

1) Download the Maria DB MSI installer for your version of Windows
(think Ive got the right version W10 - MariaDB 10.6.4)

2) Open the file & Install and run when Windows prompts
(Unzipped, revealed folder, opened it, no run or setup option in the list)

3) On the licence agreement screen check the accept box. Click next
(there isnt one or that option)

4) On the next screen will be the components you need to install, don't change anything here just click next.
(cant be found in the list of items in the folder.)

The page says 'thank you for downloading, an email will be sent shortly.' I only imagined that it was with further instructions.)

So anyhow, I have the download file, but am not able to proceed..15.00pm UK Tues

I think there's an issue with MariaDB 10.6 and RadioDJ which Marius is looking into


I'm going to suggest rolling back if possible to 10.5 you may need to uninstall as per This Post

(Done, however there is NO option to "Enable feedback plugin" in 15.5 in setup screen I said...next, then install. RadioDJ, is now running, & it looks great. Thanks! for helping the 'hard of vision.' eg. me.) Is it a problem that Im only on 15.5?,instead of the very latest.
Looking forward to getting to the 'load tracks' & samples part..

Yes, we are using MySQL connector to connect to the database server and MariaDB is using utf8mb3 as default charset, while MySQL is using utf8mb4, but due the fact that MySQL connector is made by MySQL team is not recognizing utf8mb3, as it considers it deprecated.
I'm searching for a simple solution, but until now I didn't found one which is not requires manually editing the MariaDB config file, which may be confusing for average users.
For now, I don't recommend to use the latest versions of MariaDB, instead either use an older version or go with MySQL.

 :angel:Its going quite well, many thanks for the advice! I somehow managed to delete the only INSTANT PLAYER tab I had, how do I replace it & create tabs 3,4,5 etc if I want to segregate different types of cuts please..

 Copy that, I got it sorted out eventually. 

Can anyone recommend a suitable soundcard/interface to use in order to give me a minimum of 3 channels to 3 faders on the mixer to give me full control over deck 1 - deck 2 - commercials etc fader 3 via RadioDJ.
I imagine when I connect a soundcard it will be seen in soundcards in RDJ I can then allocate faders to inputs on the ext soundcard?..Thanks!

It depends what you want to buy and afford.

For sound cards can't think of one since Mixers with USB have taken center stage for a few years now.

There are many mixer solutions out there and people have mentioned in these forums some good options for using with RadioDJ such as Arrakis and the Rodecaster Pro and many more.   The ARC Talk Blue looks is getting attention.

Im trying to get the Mixer Yamaha MG12XU to have individual control on just 3 faders track 1/track 2/track 3 but cant get RadioDJ to see the Behringer (or any other, apart from the on board mixer soundcard, which cant give me the layout I want in the RadioDJ software.) TIA
