RadioDJ 2.0.2.0 Is not suitable for Window11 you think RadioDJ will open,
but will hang on the opening screen, starts playing automatic music and that's it.

Don't know if more people have this problem.

Cheers :(

Someone posted last week they had RadioDJ working on Windows 11 on a Raspberry PI4. (How true that was is anyones guess)

I cant find the post now... :bash:

My computer isn't Windows 11 compatible no Loss Windows 10 seems to be running sweet as a nut at the moment

Hey

I'm not recommending you to use Windows 11 right now, it's too early. If it's just for testing it's okay

But if it's for a production machine (for a radio that needs to run 24 hours a day) it's really not a good idea.  ::)

Obviously for testing, we have the rest running on windows 10  :)

That was me Gary !

RadioDJ doing very fine on the Raspberry Pi with Windows 11 !
I have had that it hangs when a window pops up like "Please select Catagory and Genre to import files!" when i search for a track on the mainscreen.
But i guess that's because i run the Beta version.
The rotation plays on but i cant do anything anymore then.
Also Icecast test stream with SECaster runs fine on Windows 11.
Running:
RadioDJ v2.0.3.1beta, MySql v8.0.25.0, Icecast v2.4.4, SECaster v1.2.7
Raspberry Pi4B,8GB with on USB3.0 port 500 GB SSD drive for windows boot and music tracks on seperate partition.
Windows 11 Home v21H2, build: v22000.194

On my day-to-day work machine (no not "radio-work" system) I have Windows 11. I also use that machine to prepare stuff for my "radio-work". And I didn't encounter real problems with RDJ 2.0.3 in Windows 11 in the normal configuration that I use (i.e. MariaDB on seperate Linux machine), however, I had to do some testing earlier this week with a more recent version of MariaDB (10.6.4) on another Linux machine and I encountered about the same problems that TS described. But the same happened on my normal playout system (Windows 8.1) that I checked with later.

So I'm just wondering what database version TS is using - if he installed "the latest" MariaDB with the Windows 11, it also could be a cause for the problem and not Windows 11.

I have reinstalled RadioDJ 2.0.2.0, now it starts normally again, but I only use it to try things out. On our other Servers it runs under Windows 10 for 24/7 which runs fine.

I am having trouble running RadioDJ on Windows 11. It is not compatible. Like most of you are saying here, it loops on the landing page and will freeze up. I need to have this running 24/7. If Windows 10 is going obsolete, is there an alternative that anyone can offer? Please HELP!!!

Strange RadioDJ has been running just fine on windows 11 here for over 2 years

Have you got all the required .Net packages have you updated all your audio drivers?

You don't appear to be giving
us much information ℹ️ to be going on

Are you getting any error messages etc...

Totally agree Gary! Our backup system is happily running RadioDJ v2.0.4.5 on Windows 11 no problems and it's using MariaDB 10.4.29 (Will look at upgrading that as the 10.4 series is no longer maintained). It's more likely to be a problem with a MariaDB/MySQL version, or Windows drivers/updates etc. than RadioDJ otherwise nobody would have RadioDJ running on Windows 11.

I'm not using Win11 with Radiodj, but I have tested it (2.0.4.5) and it worked like a charm.

No error messages. It just freezes on the landing page. I am going to uninstall and reinstall again. Maybe I missed a step or two. Thanks!

We're using RDJ 2006 on two Windows 11 machines. Test machine running it for several months. Live machine running it since 7 Jan. Both are flawless. No RDJ or DB changes needed. Just updated and hit play!
