Yesterday, more than 50 spam messages.
Time to block those 2 guys' ip addresses.

I have no way of permanently blocking an IP...

Sorry if spam is getting through but I can only be here a certain amount of the day to fight it.

We're relying on Stop Forum Spam for the most part, The SFS forum Plugin makes sure 99.8% of the spammers don't get through...

Sometimes even despite the Security and Captchas spammers sadly get through to be able to deface the forum.

I wish the forum software SMF had a way of banning IP addresses it would make my life a lot easier.

Be rest assured I'm working in the background filtering out most spammers before they actually get through its what i spend most of my time doing behind the scenes.


The only way around that would be to make every post have to be filtered by an admin before it gets posted

I don't have access to the forum server I only have access to the moderation centre 

For every spammer that gets through I have probably deleted another 10 in the background

I honestly do not know why but we're under a sustained attack from the spammers being able to bypass the Captchas...

I've just removed over 50 Spam sign ups which appeared overnight. 

If the odd one gets through i can only but apologise for it I'm only able to be here so many hours of the day, But be rest assured i am fighting the spammers in the background

in the verification section of register, what are your other options to add harder questions? can you keep changing the questions to confuse the bots who have figured out the answer?

Again I don't have access to the inner working of the forum I only moderate...


Marius tried stepping up security  but despite that some spammers are desperate to get through to post spam.

I only delete a user profile when I find their IP/Email matches the SFS database.

I'd imagine he's BUSY doing amazing stuff with RadioDJ 

Either that or his Hips are still playing up and hes not able to be here....
