Just been for a visit to the Sound Empire Caster website to find there's been an update for Sound Empire caster

Sound Empire 1.2.8

I haven't had chance to test it yet BUT I'd imagine its going to be as amazing as 1.2.7

I've had 1.2.7 streaming for a while now and its not let me down so far

Been testing 1.2.8 since I posted about it and so far so good   

The stream has been up over 20 hours without an issue. Not a great deal of difference from 1.2.7

I was wondering because it says it was uploaded from the UK and I know SE Caster is from Ukraine

I downloaded the installer as its in a different language and extracted the files to a folder then I zip them it makes life easier for others.

Just looked at the steam uptime I'm fast approaching 3 days with SEC218 and its streaming away nicely @128kbps to my Shoutcast server and that's been up 5 days

My stream has now been up 2 weeks.


I think SEC128 is as stable as previous versions

I haven't upgraded to this new version yet. Is it a free version or a paid version?

Free AS afar as I know  I downloaded 128 via  a link on the SEC forums.


its not a lot different from 127 so If you don't ned to upgrade....

I'm using 1.1.6 so an upgrade probably wouldn't hurt

Sadly I think its going to be safe to ASSUME that any updates to Sound Empire Caster may be delayed INDEFINITELY.

I just hope the developer and his Family are safe.

Sound Empire Caster was showing some real promise. Please DON'T Stop using it....

It works far better than any other stand alone encoding software I've tried. I shall keep using it as long as it works on Windows.

I guess that means there are LOTS of Internet radio stations out there broadcasting using Sound Empire Caster 👍👍👍👍

TIP:

If the encoders don't auto connect go into the SECaster.ini file with your favourite notepad application and change Auto=0 TO Auto=1 and click save and restart SE Caster.

Please can anyone confirm if Sound Empire Caster is Windows 11 compatible?I have someone asking on Social mediaand as my Computers won't run Windows 11 I have zero way of finding out myself
