Hello everyone,

I have problem and I'm hoping that it can be an easy fix.

I've got my Radio DJ setup with 2 laptops and a mixer. My first laptop runs Radio DJ and plays the songs. That gets sent through an external sound card to my mixer where I can mix the songs with my mic without any delay. The main mix from the mixer goes to another external soundcard and into my other laptop where it goes through MB Recaster encoder to Live 365.

My problem is song metadata. I am wondering how to get the song metadata to be encoded on the second laptop and go to Live 365. I know the song metadata is being lost in the mixer.

I'm not familiar with MB Recaster, but on this page it states that. . .
  • Read metadata from an external text file

I would try and set up the following. . . . .
  • Share a folder on your MB Recaster machine to your network.
  • Point MB Recaster to this folder/file for your now playing file.
  • Mount that share on your RadioDJ Machine.
  • Set RadioDJ to save the now playing file to that network share.

I imagine this would work?
