Hi again! I created an event that say FORECAST (I manually created it, I created an audio and is in its folder). I set it as REPEAT by DAYS and HOURS, load folder, etc... Everything almost perfectlywork. I just want to ask if is possible it go go online without to wait previous track to finish. I mean: I set it to go at 15:00, but if there's a track that finish at 15:02 , my event wait track to finish then it is the next. I wish my event to stop the track at the time I assigned. Is it possible? Thanks.
P.S.: I remind that I use RDJ 1.8.2

Kiwi

After the command for Load FORECAST use the command "Start Playing" (Play!).

This will start the track at the desired time, but depending on the track playing, may produce an abrupt ending or quck fade to that track.

I believe this command is available in 1.8.2

Sorry, where to say "PLAY" ? Any screenshot?

Kiwi

Under the "PLAYBACK" action the first command is "Start Playing"

Click on this and the command "Play!" appears then click on Add Action

Where's PLAYBACK?

OPS, found it :-P but how to choose the track (my forecast are saved as track)?

Kiwi

You will have to edit your FORECAST event.

"I created an event that say FORECAST (I manually created it, I created an audio and is in its folder). I set it as REPEAT by DAYS and HOURS, load folder, etc... Everything almost perfectlywork"

After the command to load add the command "Start Playing"

e.g. FORECAST Event commands will look like this...

Load Forecast Track
Play!

Hmmm...

Is RadioDJ in AutoDJ and Automated mode?

What are the commands you have in FORECAST Event?

I click + to add an event, then:
-Event name : I call it FORECAST
-Event type: Day and Hour ( and I set it)
-I click on + for Even action
-I choose LOAD CATEGORY (is where my file with forecast.MP3 is stored)
:'(
  Then?????

Kiwi

Next command would be "Play!"

Works for me - I do have a different RadioDJ version than yours but I understood 1.8.2 could do this. I tested the command with different category and they all worked.

Is you Forecast.mp3 enabled?

Maybe someone else will have ideas... I'll do some more thinking...

Hope you can get it figured out.

Is not hard to understand: there's a track playing, ok? I want it stop and goes my event at the right time I set it. But not manually of course. Ok. we don't understand each other. Thanks anyway

(I would like my event to interrupt the track at the assigned time. Is this possible? Thank you.
PS: remember that I use RDJ 1.8.2)

Hi Yodalex, interrupting the track on air so that your event starts at 15.00 is not possible (it's just luck).  Since version 2.0 there is a 'Smart Timing' option.  I use version 2.0.3.9 but it has not been implemented yet, hopefully in future versions.

(I hope I understood your request)

As Kiwi said, the Play! command in the event should start playing and achieve the interrupt of the current playing track at the event time. However, I can't remember if that command is only in RadioDJ v2. There may be some confusion within the help as this topic has been posted in the RadioDJ v2 part of the forum and should really be in the v1.7+ support section.
(Gary would it be better to move to this topic to that section?)

Ad the play rule to the event, even in 2.0.3.9.  It works perfect and cuts the playing track at your desired time.  Exactly on the second, but remember that the commands must be in reverse order.
Why do you choose for category instead of track? Or do you use several tracks in one category?

Ok, now I understood and solved. Sorry Kiwi, You were right, but not clear for me. Now I got it: must add the first ACTION (by clicking on right green +) and choose LOAD FROM CATEGORY, do Your choices and click on ADD ACTION. A windows will open and You see the first action. Then have to click again on green + on right and add the second action that is PLAYBACK-Start Playing. Then click again on ADD ACTION, and two action will apper in the summary windows. Then click on ADD EVENT. That's it. It perfectly work as I wished. Thanks everybody, mostly to Kiwi ;) ;)
