I updated to the newest version this week (my old version was 2.0.0.6) on my new windows 11 computer and everything works fine. I made a fresh new database. The only thing that didn't work anymore is the request plugin. The pages (search) works fine and I can select a song but when I send the request I see no message and nothing happens.

I use the script of DJ Garybaldy (https://djgarybaldy.blogspot.com/2021/06/radiodj-online-requests.html)

DaveTheRave

Those scripts may need updating to the latest PHP no new scripts have been developed for RadioDJ in quite a few years now and any scripts floating around may not be compatible

That request-script worked with version 2.0.0.6 with php8 but yes it's a very old script.

Em working on version 3.0 standard and 4.0 with more options.

3.0 real standard but whit a setup option. And a admin controle to ban on abuse.
Visitors must login to make requests for safety.
Web script used one database. no interventions with the radiodj database.

4.0 Has more options
Show artist/band biography.
Track lyrics and more.
R.T.F.M. means to me, Read The Fantastic Messages.

Possible Bug...

It seems when in an event you can run one overlay (bed + VO track) fine, but not back to back with another one.

The first plays fine, but the second fails to cut the bed when the VO ends, which the remainder of the bed bleeds into the beginning of the next track.

EG, as an event:
  • VoiceOver 2
  • Music Bed 2
  • Voiceover 1
  • Music Bed 1

The only workaround I've found is to place an element in between the overlays.

  • VoiceOver 2
  • Music Bed 2
  • Other Element
  • Voiceover 1
  • Music Bed 1

RadioDJ 2.0.4.3 | MariaDB 11.2 | StereoTool 9.92 | MBRecaster 5.0.1.2.
StereoTool preset: EXCIT.D for Web.

Hello !
I have a issue with the "Start date" function
I would like to make some songs available only from 11/22/2023 (it's 11/19/2023 today)

But it still automatically goes into the playlist as if the music was already available, (as if it was after 11/22)
(I have the same problem with an another computer)

But I haven't issues with the "End Date" function, it works well

Kiwi

Not sure what is causing this issue for you.

Are you putting a "tick" in the box next to Start Date? Enter date and time and ensure you click on "Save".

Are you using the "Start Date" function as you import tracks or using it after the file is already imported?

I'm using version 2.0.4.3. and not having any issues.

Sure, the box is "checked" with start date set and I've saved after that
I do that after file is already imported, but it must work even if it's already imported (not yet played)

If I do a scheduled event (for example every hour it plays a song from a category containing 4 songs with the order to play -> least recently played), if I set the start date for 20 hours later) it will not be played before these 20 hours, and therefore will broadcast only the 3 songs for 20 hours, which is desired, but it does not work on an autodj rotation

(I don't use Random function on my rotations)

Kiwi

When you check in Tack Edit or Track Manager what Start Date is displayed? The default is "2002-01-01 12:00:01AM" I have not been able to recreate the issue.

I'm not sure if we are confusing issues. In your rotation is the Repeat Rules box ticked? If so, this will use the AutoDJ Repeat Rules under Options/AutoDJ/Track Rotation Rules. If you want specific rules to apply in Track Rotation, fill in the "Repeat Rules Override" by clicking on "Edit".

Hope I haven't confused things and my apologies if I have.

When I go to my track edit, the date ticked is this the one I want on start date, (it's not 2002-01-01)
Repeat Rules on rotation is ticked

Kiwi

In the 4 song track rotation how many tracks does the system indicate are available? 4 0r 3? You can check this by highlighting the rotation line, click on edit and bottom left corner should read " files available using selected filters".

For my Christmas Rotation I have "0 files available using selected filters" because the start date is "2023-12-08".

As I say, I am unable to duplicate the issue you have.

Maybe someone else can assist.

Concerning the 4 rotating music programmed to play every hour, the filter on rotation show 3 when I put a next date on start date, the filter seems to work, same for all other, but for all other categories not programmed for playing every hours AutoDJ continue to put it on my playlist if category isn't sheduled by event

It only works well with this function, and it don't select the song until the date

Another issue I notice, when I want set a song (David Guetta for example) Play for "1" Times then Move to -> another category, even if the song isn't played, after the current song is over, it put the David Guetta song to another category automaticly, not when the song is played
But it's stange, it not happens for every tracks

Here a video to show the issue

Kiwi

Now I understand what you are saying. I am able to replicate what you get and I believe it must be a bug in the program. You should put this issue into "Future Request" to ask Marius to look into the issue and resolve the problem

That reassures me, it doesn't come from my sql database, I was afraid of having to redo everything

Next time that happens, check if it's marked the track as played (even though it hasn't played!) because I thought I was going mad but I occasionally have seen a track I don't remember going to air being marked as played at a particular time (last played) but when I run a history report, it's correctly not in there which is right because it didn't actually play. I wonder if this is happening with your track and it's moving it based on that rule "thinking" that it's been played?
