Issues getting Request Feature to Connect to The Database over the Internet

Ever since I switched to Windows 10, I have not been able to get the Song Request feature to connect to the Database over The Internet.  I ran a port scan and it says the port is open but I am not able to connect to the database..    I setup port forwarding and the firewall.  I ran this script ...
https://www.stewartswebworks.com/databaseportcheck.php  but I get not able to connect to server error..
Is there something else I need to do to get this to connect ?  I think they must have changed some stuff since Windows 7...  (it worked with that )..  Anyone else know how to get this to work?

is the port also open in windows firewall?

if you turn off windows firewall temporarily, does the signal get thru?

According to the port checker I used on whatsmyip.org/ it says it is open.
I also tried another port 8000 and I know that works with my test streaming server..  So I know that port works. I guess I could try that with  the script but I want another port since I use that server to test things and pull /other audio in..    I think it is a Cox Cable thing..  They changed everything when I upgraded to Giga Blast..  They have 2 ways of opening ports on their router /modem  Just plain port forwarding  where you just put in the port number or range that you want to open.    and port triggering where you are supposed to select an internal and external port and it is supposed to tunnel through it..    ex  3306  internal and 45000 external.  I have tried this both ways  but something must be blocking it  even with the computer firewall off..  maybe there is another setting in the router firewall that I need to turn off...    I don't know..  but like I said port 8000 and 8001 are working ....    and I guess it could also be an issue with my local server not being able to be connected to from the Internet.  That is why I was asking if there is a certain way to allow that..  I followed all the online info on how to change the config file..  but I am open to new ideas..      Thanks

Do you have a static IP with your ISP? I had issues getting the request script working because I wasn't on a static IP I had to pay extra for a Static IP

Or, you probably need to set up a static IP for your computer in your router settings. I would try that first, since that would save you the money of having to set up a static IP with your ISP.

I finally got it to work !!      It had something to do with the initial program setup..  of MySqL...    I went ahead and downloaded the Maria DB and it seems to be working..    One question..      So I wanted to be able to take requests on location  from my laptop..  But when using port 3306  you usually have to setup port forwarding with the connected ISP..    Is there a way say if I was on location to run Radio DJ on my laptop and take requests using a port that you don't need to forward ?    say I was on a wifi connection in a club or something and was playing music on location and people wanted to send me a request through their phone..    I was just wondering if there was another way to temporarily use another port that you didn't have to forward a port to..  I was wondering how this could be done if you were on location..    Thanks..

If it works for you right now, I'm not sure why you'd need or want a second set of port forwarding rules just for when you're on-site, since it should work the same in both places. Regardless, if you set up another port forwarding rule for use when you're on-site, that should let you have a "public access" set of external ports.
