Sweepers - Can RDJ disable or move after X plays?

Hi,

I appreciate that tracks played directly can be moved or disabled by RDJ after a selected number of plays. How do you do this for sweepers? Or is that possible?

Test
1) Select a sweeper and go to Edit Track
2) Set the play count (field label: 'Play for') to say 1 times, and then to 'Disable' (field label: 'times, and then')
3) Play the sweeper over a song
4) Play the sweeper dry by injecting it to the cue list

Results
i) Sweeper played over song = RDJ doesn't update the sweeper record (i.e. the play value remains at 1 and the sweeper remains enabled) :-[
ii) Sweeper played dry = RDJ behaves as expected. (i.e. play value reduces to 0 and sweeper is disabled).

Software tested
RDJ 2006
MariaDB 10.5

Any hacks?!!

Thank you!

I note that track type 'Sweeper' does not change the play count in the database and this is why the RDJ function in scope doesn't work. Now what's the workaround...?

A thought...

Can you use "start" and "end" date as a workaround?

I don't use sweepers... what happens if you make the track type "Music"?

Thanks for your quick reply, as always!, Kiwi.

Start and End Date are a compromise but don't guarantee no repeats during the enabled period. I would prefer this certainty, if possible.

From limited testing so far, in rotations, the track type must be 'Sweeper' otherwise RDJ does not duck the volume on the song. Voice Track ducks the volume too but is restricted to playlists (and is effectively the same thing as a sweeper). Overlay doesn't work in this scenario either because I want the sweeper to play at the start of the track.

All ideas welcome...!
Thanks again
